UNLOCKED! STRETCH GOAL 1: Premium bookmark – £5000
If the campaign reaches £5000, I'll include a 810gsm triple layer with purple core bookmark with every physical reward!
UNLOCKED! Stretch Goal 2: Hard Enamel Pin – £6000
The second stretch goal is a hard enamel pin. Who likes enamel pins? Yes, everybody. This pin is the symbol for the Earth's Fire: the burning heart of the planet, called by only the chosen four, or by treacherous witches or course. Whichever one you are, if the campaign reaches £6000 raised, all physical rewards will receive one. How you use the power is up to you.*
Stretch Goal 3: Speedpaint video pack – £7000
If we reach £7000, I'll send everyone, that's all backers, digital and physical, a link to download recorded speedpaint videos of the creation of new pages! I'm going to be adding a bonus chapter at the end of the book to round it all out in preparation for a potential volume 2 (depending on how well she's received of course!) So I plan to record as many pages' creation as possible, here's an example of one video I made a while back for chapter 6. Sound good?
I'll try to record as many as possible as I work so that there's some nice video goodies for everyone if the final stretch goal is hit!
Between Worlds is the story of a knight cast out of her kingdom, falsely accused of Witchcraft. Her punishment? A shattering self, of memories, of identity and of home. Her sanctuary? A city of witches, incense, crystals and enchantments. Only issue is, she has no idea how she got there, not to mention, she HATES witches. She'll have to learn to make some friends if she wants to start a new life, and survive it.
This special edition hardback is in celebration of 10 years since the launch of Between Worlds. Since 2009, it has lived in and on various formats until I took it down in retirement. The entire comic totals over 300 pages. This is to be the definitive version of Between Worlds.
As it is a webcomic created over such a span of time, there's a fair amount of fixing, primping and polish needed to bring it into our current, terrifying world.
The majority of this work is basic reformatting and re-lettering in order to make it consistent (and pretty)
I also plan to give some of the rougher pages a little bit of a polish, though I don't plan on any significant changes or rewriting as that tends to be a bit of a creative black hole/Sisyphean nightmare. The aim of the game is collecting and presenting this comic in the smartest way possible.
If this project is funded, it'll enable me to take that time to format all 300+ pages into a beautiful book you'll be proud to have on your shelf.
The book I'm planning will be an A5 (148mm x 210mm) casebound hardcover book and will be a whopping 350(approx) pages.
My name's Anna Fitzpatrick and I've been drawing since I can remember, making comics since the Beano cost 20p.
Born and raised in Ireland and now living in Peterborough, UK, I have an unyielding passion for telling weird, unique and lovingly crafted stories. Obsessed with worldbuilding and the characters that live within, I'm niche and I know it. I'd never be anything else.
I currently work full-time as a graphic designer, as well as many comic & illustration projects on the side. My current webcomic, Alien Heart can be read here
I'm delighted and excited (That's delireh and excireh back in the old country) to offer a range of cool rewards in exchange for your support! Here's an explainer for each reward offered.

Risks and challenges
I've successfully run a book Kickstarter before, so I have that experience so start from, which means I'm aware of the risks and responsibilities ahead. Shipping costs were my biggest lesson learned last time around. They're a fickle beast and when underestimated, can result in a few pounds out of pocket, to a disaster depending on the scale of the project. I've done the work this time and have researched realistic shipping costs.
I will need to complete a number of extra pages, fix-ups and polish to existing work, but if funded, I aim to strictly schedule this work. The good news is that a MOUNTAIN of content has already been created for this book.
I've committed to a ship date of May next year which leaves plenty of leeway for this, though ideally I'll produce it much sooner. It all depends on how exactly the project pans out with regards to number of backers and if there's a call for stretch goals or not.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
