About this project
Street Masters: Rise of the Kingdom is a 1-4 player miniatures, board game that includes over 65 highly detailed miniature figures! The game combines the concept of a tactical combat board game with the flexibility of an intricate card game. Acclaimed designers Adam and Brady Sadler (The Walking Dead: No Sanctuary, Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game) have developed a streamlined system that focuses on modularity and action, with fighters, bosses, rivals, allies, and stages forming a “sandbox” for players to mix-and-match, creating their own epic showdowns.
The game offers both an action-packed “Arcade Mode” where players completely customize their experience with any combination of fighters, bosses, and stages, as well as a narrative campaign “Story Mode,” where the fighters’ victories, defeats, and choices help unravel the lore of the game. In “Story Mode,” victory means helpful perks, while defeat inflicts dangerous penalties. Game plays in approximately 45-120 minutes.
A Fighting Sandbox
In Street Masters: Rise of the Kingdom, players can mix and match fighters, enemies, and stages, creating their own unique game experience with each different combination. Simply choose a fighter, pit them against an enemy deck, and duke it out in a stage of your choice.
Strategic Close Combat
Defend yourself against enemy attacks by collecting punch, kick, and grapple defense tokens to turn the tide of battle. Each point of damage you are able to block with a defense token matching the type of damage dealt gives your fighter the power they need to unleash their ultimate abilities.
Rapid Fire Attack Resolution
Each attack in Street Masters: Rise of the Kingdom is quickly resolved with a combination of cards and dice. Enemy dice deal fighters random damage to replicate the chaos of battle. Fighters dice can result in regular hits, defense token generation, and critical hits...which counts as hits and also add another dice to the mix, pushing your attacks to the limit.
Tactically Thwart the Enemy's Plans
Use positioning to your advantage in order to prevent the enemies from completing their objective. Each stage has unique conditions that will provide either the fighters or the enemy with an alternative win/loss condition. It'll take tactical thinking to emerge victorious.
Allies and Rivals
Rivals and Allies can be used in Arcade mode (at player discretion) to increase or decrease the challenge of a stage and are a completely modular addition to the game.
- Rivals function as enemies that are tougher than minions, but not quite as bosses.
- Allies are friendly fighters without decks of cards (activated by a single card).
In story mode, allies and rivals are featured heavily to represent the choices fighters make and their consequences.
There are two ways to play the game: Arcade Mode and Story Mode. Both are based on the same rules, while providing the players with distinct game experiences.
With Arcade Mode, Street Masters: Rise of the Kingdom offers a quick-playing game with a ton of variety. Setting up a game is as easy as choosing your fighter, an enemy, and a stage. This gets you in the game right away, without having to build decks or read up any special rules ahead of time.
Want to link your games together and progress an ongoing narrative? That's where Story Mode comes in. Fortunately, Story Mode simply adds game elements to Arcade Mode, so linking several stages simply consists of the players choosing a Story Deck to play through and kick it off with Stage 1.
While Story Mode doesn't over-complicate the basic rules introduced in Arcade Mode, it allows for dramatic events to shake up your games. Did you defeat a foe in Stage 1, but refuse to chase him down because it would have resulted in a more difficult Stage 2? Watch out! That same foe might return as a recurring nemesis, plaguing each future stage of the story until you ultimately shut him down. Similarly, your fighters might go out of their way to save a hostage, who then turns out to be a pivotal ally throughout the rest of the story.
Story Decks contain various card types, including Story Stage cards, double-sided Ally/Rival cards, Penalty cards, Perk cards, and more!
With so many cool mechanics, watch Adam and Brady Sadler talk about some of the key components in the game and spotlight how they play.
Following, here's a couple of turns that show you the basics of setup, movement, turn order, enemies, combat, and stage objectives.

As well, feel free to download our Beta Rules for the game below!
Street Masters: Rise of the Kingdom has highly detailed, unpainted miniatures made of a rigid PVC plastic, keeping the integrity of the sculpts in tact while not causing it to be brittle. The size for the average miniature figure in our game is about 32mm from feet to head, making both size and material equivalent to some of your favorite miniatures board games out there.
Like many other publishers, we will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes based on the actual costs incurred to ship. We will collect this via our pledge manager after the campaign ends. This is so we can be fair to to you all since final shipping sizes are unpredictable with a growing campaign. Plus this gives more room to pool into stretch goals and as much cool gameplay stuff as we possibly can.
After manufacturing, we'll ship your rewards at our cost to our international hubs. Following, is a rough estimate for shipping a standard game package (approx. 4kg volumetric weight). Keep in mind these are just estimates, and costs may rise based on weight increases from unlocked stretch goals and any add-ons you choose.
USA: $10-$15 to most states. ($30 to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.)
CANADA: $10-$20 to most cities.
LATIN AMERICA: $50-$60 to most countries.
ASIA: $15-20 to China and Hong Kong. $30 to most other countries (we can't predict an estimate cost to Malaysia, Singapore, or Indonesia).
OCEANIA: $15-$25 to Australia. $30 to New Zealand. AFRICA: $80 to most countries.
EUROPE: $15-$30 to most countries. $35 to Norway, Finland, Estland, Lettland, and Latvia. $40 to Bosnia/Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia. $55 to Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Romania. $60 to Iceland and Israel. $45 to Greece and Turkey.
Unfortunately, different import laws and customs from some specific countries have made it impossible for our shipping/fulfillment partner to ship to such as Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. Due to that we will not ship to these areas.

Risks and challenges
Being our first Miniatures Board Game, there are a lot of moving parts from the Kickstarter, production, manufacture, to fulfillment, then distribution. Timing seems to be one of the biggest obstacles in many campaigns, especially from small, indie publishers such as ourselves.
Fortunately, we've got experienced game designers working hard to ensure the gameplay offers the best experience it can be; we have strong relations with the factory/manufacture; we have a shipment/fulfillment company already signed on; we are passionate about games, especially this one; and most important, we care about our backers.
We also understand there may still be confusion about our first campaign, as it was a card game that we cancelled. It didn't receive the momentum it needed due to us purchasing the rights from a publisher that has not had much luck in the industry. Currently we're developing an app for the game and tightening up some of the original rules and cards in order to release it under our brand at a future date. Doing this will give us the time we need to ensure that the game will make a great edition to our library as well as yours.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
