Detailing Accessory Add-Ons!

Global Gladiators, another day another unlock! Street Masters Aftershock cannot be stopped! That Aftershock Stretch Goals box is overflowing with content, and we still have 14 days to go!

Alright, let's take a look at this new character, shall we?

Tora

You've unlocked Tora, a new Rival/Ally that comes with a highly detailed miniature and a Rival/Ally card!

Ume’s younger (by a few minutes) twin brother Tora is the fun-loving, somewhat spoiled kid of the Hattori family. He’s highly intelligent and creative, and isn’t very humble about it. This is probably his way of breaking free of Ume’s shadow, as she is constantly hovering above him in an attempt to shelter him from any harm. He hates that she won’t let him be, but understands why she does it; their older sister Sakura died in a tragic accident when they were children, and the family has lived with misplaced guilt since. They know the situation was beyond their control, but continually wonder if they could have prevented it somehow. This led to years of Tora secretly resenting Ume for both having powers at a young age and not having used them to change things. His resentment subsided, however, when he reached puberty and his own gifts surfaced.

This happened when the family was out one night and a firefight broke out between the yakuza and an Interpol task force. The Hattoris ran away from the violence with the rest of the civilians, but when a rogue Sprinter D model sports car jumped the curb and threatened to land atop them, Tora reflexively raised his arms and somehow materialized a force field that destroyed the vehicle upon impact and protected all around him. He’s since joined his family in specialized Citadel sparring sessions in order to hone his developing abilities.

As a reminder, Allies and Rivals are optional, modular elements that can be used in Arcade mode to increase or decrease the overall challenge level. Rivals increase the challenge by being added to a fighter’s Threat Area, where it acts like an advanced minion. Alternatively, Allies are added to a fighter’s Play Area as a card under their control that can be used at certain times to gain an advantage.

Detailing Add-Ons (Part 2)

Continuing our closer look at add-ons (see Part 1 here), we'll be exploring your possible accessory options! Before we do that, however, I'd like to remind everyone that they can get information on all existing products in the Street Masters line on our website, right here:

Utility Pack

The Street Masters core box comes with 4 (red) fighter dice and 4 (white) enemy dice (FYI this is the only box in the product line that comes with dice), as well as enough snap-on ring bases to "base" one enemy faction.

The Utility Pack add-on, which offers 4 extra fighter dice, 4 extra enemy dice, and 13 extra base rings (enough to base another enemy faction), is perfect for the following people:

  • Those who want to give a full set of dice to each other player (instead of passing them around); the Street Masters core box has 1 set, so you would need 3x Utility Packs to give the three other players their own set.
  • Those who do not want to re-roll "exploding" Critical dice rolls; this number can fluctuate from player to player and game to game, but generally most players will state that 1x Utility Pack is enough for this purpose.
  • Those who would like to pre-base multiple enemy factions (instead of placing them on at the start of a new game and removing them at the end); the Street Masters core box comes with 1 set of rings, so you would need 3x Utility Packs to have enough base rings to pre-base the four enemy factions in the Street Masters core box. If you want to pre-base more enemy factions, take a look at the FAQ to see how many there are in the Street Masters line.

Base Ring Triple Pack

As stated above, the Street Masters core box comes with enough snap-on ring bases to "base" 1 enemy faction. The Base Ring Triple pack comes with 3x sets of base rings (enough to base another 3 enemy factions). This add-on is perfect for the following people:

  • Those who would like to pre-base multiple enemy factions (instead of placing them on at the start of a new game and removing them at the end); the Street Masters core box comes with 1 set of rings, so you would need 1x Base Ring Triple Pack to have enough base rings to pre-base the four enemy factions in the Street Masters core box. If you want to pre-base more enemy factions, take a look at the FAQ to see how many there are in the Street Masters line.

4 Fighter Dice Pack

As stated above, the Street Masters core box comes with 4 (red) fighter dice. Since these dice explode (when rolling Critical results), you might need to roll more dice. Many players are fine with simply re-rolling dice while remembering their current Critical count, but others rather add dice! This pack of 4 extra fighter dice is perfect for them!

Turbo Dice

You recently unlocked Turbo Mode, a new Kickstarter Exclusive optional mode that can be used if players desire a new spin on Street Masters! The stretch goal you unlocked gives you all you need to play, however, we are also offering the same set as an add-on for the following people:

  • Backers who want each player at the table to have their own set of Turbo Dice and Turbo Mode rules reference card (instead of passing them around); you would need 3x Turbo Dice sets added to your pledge in order to allow three more players to have their own set.
  • Players who do not like to re-roll Critical dice and rather roll new ones (the Turbo Enemy Dice can roll Critical results, which explode and add more dice).

That's it for today's add-on deep dive! Next time, we'll take a detailed look at the Fighter Mat and the Lore Book! A quick reminder, you can get a closer look at the Fighter Mat right here.

Adding Add-ons to your Pledge

If you'd like to add any of the available add-ons to your pledge, you can do the following after pledging for one of the tiers:

1 - Click on "Manage Your Pledge"

2- Click on "Change Your Pledge"

3- Add the total value of your desired add-ons to the current cost of your pledge tier. Example:

You have pledged for the Street Masters Tier, which will display $109. You want to get the Twin Tiger add-on (cost of $30) and the Redemption Pack (cost of $20). To do so, you will change the total of your pledge tier to $159 (which means $50 of add-ons on top of your $109 pledge tier).

4- Click "Continue".

5- Click "Confirm".

When the campaign is over, you will eventually be invited to the pledge manager. It will be at this point that you will tell us what you want your extra money to go towards.

Does Murphy count like a superhero? After all, he's a reference to the Hulk.
