We truly believe that we offer more value to our customers than any other established watch company at a fraction of the cost. We challenge you to find an established watch company that offers the same or better specifications and details at a lower price. If you do (we don't think you will) we will match their price. Please private message us your findings (or not findings).
Our name, BJØRN, is inspired by Bjorn Eriksson, King of Sweden, and derived from our goal, to ACTUALLY disrupt the watch industry and to give back to the community. According to history, Vikings explored Europe by sea for trade, raids, colonization, and conquest, and were seen as brutal raiders.
That’s who we are! The Vikings of the Watch Industry. We are not here to play around. As I’m sure you already know from all of the fast-fashion mass produced overpriced minimalist watch campaigns claiming to #DisruptTheIndustry, THE WATCH INDUSTRY IS A F****** RIP OFF.
Yes, it’s a rip-off. Watches are marked up to 1,000% from production cost. You know what that means? A watch that costs $30 to make, import, and ship is being sold for $300. THAT’S INSANE. The worst part of it all is that most of the watch campaigns claiming to #DisruptTheIndustry and be #Transparent ARE DOING THE SAME THING.
Yes, they are doing the same thing. How do we know? Well, we own a watch company and trust us, we have done our research.
Anyways, King Bjorn was not only a fearless leader, as he was well acquainted with his ways and manners, and in his lifetime his kingdom stood in great power, and no kind of want was felt.
That’s why, as a part of BJØRN’S mission, we are not only committed to giving our most valued asset, time, but also our resources. After the campaign is complete and our company is funded, 10% of every watch sale will be donated to a philanthropic organization to help children in need in South America.
Our second model, called “Campbell”, was inspired by Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans. The Pittsburgh legendary artist had an innate ability to transform everyday objects into art. We noticed that today’s watches are unnecessarily complicated, so we reversed engineered the modern watch and took it back to its core essentials.
We set out to design a high-quality Swiss watch that was stylish, unisex, and versatile for every occasion at an affordable price. We spent months perfecting our designs, sourcing quality materials, and finding the best manufacturers around the world. We buy directly from them, eliminating the middleman, allowing you to purchase the highest quality products at the lowest price point.
When designing the Campbell Model we made sure to keep in mind our target audience, millennials. Unlike many watch campaigns and companies, we don’t believe in making you buy another watch just to have a different strap. This is why ALL of our watches come with 6 easily interchangeable straps, allowing for a total of 12 possible combinations. In addition, our straps are interchangeable with our first model - The Andy -
We hope that with your help we will be able to launch the first transparent watch company. We are not seeking to make a large profit on our product, but rather we are actively working to ACTUALLY disrupt the watch industry.
We are already focused on the future and working with more young creatives from all corners of the world, such as Barcelona, New York, and Punta del Este, to bring to you more new designs.
Production: For our first campaign, Vale traveled to the Canton Fair to meet, test quality, and hand pick our manufacturer. We met many manufacturers and chose this one not only because they assured great quality and timely delivery, but because they expressed the highest ethical standards and stood against child labor and fast fashion, two cornerstones of our foundation.
Ale and Jero later traveled back to Hong Kong TWICE to meet again with our manufacturer to triple check all of the Campbell Model details and to further develop a great relationship.
Delivery: Jero has vast experience in logistics and international commerce. We partnered with an international fulfillment center to fulfill all of our domestic and international orders. They are located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania near our HQ’s so that if an issue ever arises we can personally see to it.
If you have any more questions or concerns please contact one of our previous 197 backers that received their rewards on schedule.
Our founders are three friends who met at the University of Pittsburgh in a meeting they all weren’t supposed to attend. The first had a keen eye for aesthetics, design, and style, along with a family heritage in world-class Swiss watchmaking, the second was innovative and deeply embedded in the entrepreneur ecosystem, and the third was an analytical genius (SERIOUSLY), creating a complementary and multidisciplinary team. They all shared one thing in common; a disregard for rules and a love for good times. Be a rebel and join the BJØRN team!
Due to the terms and conditions of crowdfunding we are not allowed to donate any of the backer money raised, but we are allowed to promise that in the future once our company is funded, we will be donating 10% of all of our sales to a philanthropic organization to help children in need in South America.
Once you have backed us and the campaign is finished, we will be contacting you to confirm the details of your order.

Risks and challenges
We have talked to several manufacturers in person and have hand-picked the one we are working with. The watches you saw in our photos and video are functional prototypes that underwent quality assurance by the manufacturer and ourselves. After we fund the project, we will be able to replicate these prototypes in mass production.
Nonetheless, although the product is important, it’s the structure of the team that is even more important. We've created a diverse, multidisciplinary, and complementary team to cover all potential issues, especially the ones that tend to be more difficult such as production, international shipping, and legal issues. Furthermore, we've partnered with strategic companies to overcome all major issues.
