i can buy any wallet, any time, any price but........i want your Flip n'Grip wallet
please try something else...Remember guys the GOOD stuff always is hard to accomplish but in the end is worth it.

    2. Creator Morris Umali on January 11, 2014

I have no idea why, but I got thinking about this again and decided to see if there was an update.

      ... No. Nothing since August.

      Guessing it's long dead now.

    3. Creator Matthew Ing on July 28, 2013

I had all but given up hope. I'm really glad to hear this project isn't dead!

You're going to send us all a message/update when you reboot the project, yes?

    4. Creator Sharan Chandran on June 5, 2013

I want to echo what everyone else is saying here: you MUST try again. Kickstarter itself has gotten way more popular since this project ended; I'm confident you would meet your goal if you tried again(and maybe lowered it by $20).

The idea is so cool and innovative. Kickstarter was MADE for projects like this. Doooooo iiiiiiiiitttt.

    5. Creator Mike Stone on June 4, 2013

....... Listening to "on hold" music....... ; )

    6. Creator Luis A Hernandez on May 2, 2013

Guys this is the BEST wallet ever!!!! come on try ONE MORE TIME please

    7. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on April 13, 2013

Sorry, to leave everyone hanging. I began this project with the hopes of it successfully funding and allowing me to ditch graduate school in the process. Obviously that didn't happen, and while we have been working on a better design, a lot of my time has been sucked up finishing off my degree. The good news is that I'll be done in a few weeks and we have some exciting things coming soon. The project is not dead! I appreciate all of your positive feedback and support and again I apologize for being extremely busy.

    8. Creator Mike Stone on April 6, 2013

Regarding an update, you said "I'll put one together soon", that was 2 months ago... I think I can safely speak for everyone here when I say we'd really like to know what's going on. Should we keep our hopes up that you'll be back, or just move on?

    9. Creator Morris Umali on March 17, 2013

Yeah I was wondering if there's any news on this.
It's been just over 6 weeks since any of us have heard anything.

    10. Creator Eb Appeti on March 10, 2013

Hey Guys, any news on Kickstarter project 2.0?

    11. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on February 1, 2013

Thanks guys for your interest. Not a lot has changed, so I didn't want to do an update yet, but it sounds like people are interested so I'll put one together soon.

    12. Creator Paul Grant on January 31, 2013

I agree with Sean - those of us who were willing to back your project, would appreciate regular updates, no matter how small those updates are. There's a new wave of wallets on Kickstarter now for cheaper than the Flip n'Grip, and while none are quite as cool, I still need a new wallet. If there's a solid plan coming out in the next 3 months, I'll wait. If there's no plan and things aren't going to get rolling for 2 years, I'll pass.

    13. Creator Sean Del Alcazar on January 29, 2013

I think you have only began to gain exposure for your project after your funding ended. You had maybe 200 facebook likes and 375 backers at the time but you have well over 1,500 facebook likes now. Try and release updates even if they are minute so that people don't think this has run into a dead end! This wallet is way more fun than all of the other ones popping up on kickstarter. Make a comeback!

    14. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on January 21, 2013

We can and will send updates when we get things more solidified. We haven't done any updates yet because we haven't made enough progress to justify sending an update. When we get a little further along, we will let you know through an update. You don't have to keep checking the comments for news. Thanks for your support and interest.

    15. Creator Wesley on January 21, 2013

Just wondering if you can still send updates to us, or if we will have to keep checking this page for when you finish the redesign?

    16. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on January 11, 2013

Thanks Morris! Sorry about the wait. We hope to have something really great when we finish the redesign.

    17. Creator Morris Umali on January 11, 2013

I've been keeping an eye out for other slim wallets and this is still the only one that I've liked.
I have large hands and fat fingers that have enough trouble getting cards out. Patiently waiting for plan B.

A few friends have seen this after the funding period. I'm hoping they will jump on board when you're ready again. I know I'm still keen.

    18. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on January 10, 2013

Working hard at it, but it's taking some time to redesign and improve on manufacturing options to bring down the cost. Sorry for the wait.

    19. Creator Carol Koh on January 10, 2013

      Ay Plan B yet? :)

    20. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 20, 2012

Thanks Kevin and Camilla! We appreciate the support!

    21. Creator Camilla Stoutner Nelson on December 18, 2012

I am sad it didnt fund. Hope that your plan B is soon so i can buy one sometime 2013!

    22. Creator Kevin on December 16, 2012

I for one appreciate the desire to help the economy, looking forward to her your future plans

    23. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 16, 2012

We have no problem with stuff made in Asia. It more has to do with a problem with not enough stuff being made in the USA. One of the main reasons our economy is doing poorly is our lack of manufacturing...this is something we would like to help remedy.

I agree that Asia has some fabulous products but we are passionate about fixing the problem here in the USA.

    24. Creator Yukihisa on December 16, 2012

I like USA brand. Finish is beautiful.
But Asia is not bad. Even iPhone5 is made in China. I think that it is a problem of the production control.
When a copy is scary. Let's place an order like a battement mask in the separate places. ;)

    25. Creator Tobias Nowak on December 16, 2012

      *Yourselves :( derp

    26. Creator Tobias Nowak on December 16, 2012

Why are you so hooked on producing them yourselfes from the start? Throw the production at Asia, keep the price. If you eventually make enough money on it, try to look at options for producing them yourselfes. In the start it's only about getting something made/sold

    27. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 16, 2012

We will definately find a way to get this going soon.. The biggest hurdle has been the cost which. Makingin USA has been challenging BUT we have contacted some people who can help us with this. It will still be made in the US. Ideally we can figure out a way to get our own machine shop going...that would be best. But will need either a relaunch to be successful on kickstarter or some other means of help. We will be there soon!

    28. Creator Yukihisa on December 16, 2012

I like your idea. and I wish you success!

    29. Creator Keith Jackson on December 16, 2012

I am still in if reposted, or you guys find another way. Best luck!

    30. Creator Peter on December 16, 2012

Double the price - I'll still pay for it!

    31. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 15, 2012

I agree with BJ..... the amount of people who have supported us has been great. We are definately going to be back soon and strong with this.

I can't say enough how great its been working with BJ as well...the quality of this wallet along with the other ideas forming for future products is crazy. Its going to be FUN!

We will be back shortly so keep in touch via twitter....facebook...

We are starting a business blog as well and it will be posted on our website when done.

    32. Creator Kevin on December 15, 2012

I know it wont be funded, but just jumped on with a pledge so I could post a message to you guys. Just saw this yesterday and I think its absolutely one to coolest wallets designs I have seen. I really hope you guys can retool and end up getting it to market. Good luck and dont give up.

    33. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 15, 2012

You guys are all awesome! We sincerely appreciate every single backer. Although we weren't successful getting our funding, it was great seeing such positive feedback. We're doing everything we can to make sure every single one of you can get a wallet soon!

    34. Creator Jamie Stout on December 15, 2012

I am looking forward to Plan B! You can count me in as a backer again! The wallet needs to see the light of day (when it's not in my pocket)!

    35. Creator Uwe Montree on December 15, 2012

      Hey guys,
you stretched it a little too much ( sorry to say). Is there anything you can do to get it to work?
      I stick with you.

    36. Creator Daniel Asher on December 15, 2012

Best wallet I've seen. I want one!

    37. Creator Jacob Perlman on December 14, 2012

      Hey guys,

I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to say that I love the design of this product and can't wait to see where you go with it in the future.

    38. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 13, 2012

Thanks Lynn! We are working on a plan B and hopefully we'll still be able to get the Flip n'Grip out there for all of our backers soon!

    39. Creator Lynn Iwamoto on December 13, 2012

I am a newbie to kickstarter and am absolutely addicted to it. I did not realize that wallets was one of those items that are popular to design. I wish I had seen this before I backed two others. I saw one and loved it. Then I saw another one and had to buy that one. So I got smarter and looked at the other wallets that come up in the search function. I have to agree that the Flip n'Grip wallet is the best one. It is definitely more fun than the others. I hope you have a plan B if you do not reach the goal. Thank you.

    40. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 12, 2012

Thanks Tony! We appreciate the support, especially this late in the game.

    41. Creator Tony Nesta on December 12, 2012

It's probably too late to make a difference, but there should be an article appearing on Gadgeteer today or tomorrow.

    42. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 12, 2012

Thanks Will! You bet, the clip can easily go on either side to accommodate either lefties or righties.

    43. Creator Will on December 12, 2012

*Fingers crossed for you guys* To touch on part of Tony's question again, can i move the money clip to the opposite side if I want. So it isn't in the palm of my hand while squeezing.

    44. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 10, 2012

      Keith and Carol,
Thanks for all your support. It's true that most projects don't aim as high as we did. We were pretty anxious to get this project going and it would have cost us a few more months to significantly reduce our costs. We were trying to get this out before everyone was sick of kickstarter wallets. It was a risk aiming high and asking a high price, but we learned a ton along the way. I think you are probably right that significantly reducing costs and trying again would prove successful. It's awesome having supporters like you guys! We sincerely thank you!

    45. Creator Carol Koh on December 10, 2012

I agree with Keith. Not sure why the Obtanium attracted so many pledges as well. I also think we are not meeting the goal because it is so high at $100k and not because you don't have the support. However, having said that, production costs must really be very high then.

    46. Creator Keith Jackson on December 10, 2012

No idea why the "Obtainium" wallet attracted so many pledges, as this one is way more cool. Perhaps this project's goal is a little too lofty? Few KS projects have a goal of $100K. If you guys can get the expected production costs down and try again with a goal of $25-50K, success will be likely. I would happily pledge again.

    47. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 10, 2012

You guys are awesome! Thanks a million!

    48. Creator Arpin Bhullar on December 10, 2012

Come on guys lets get this funded! Coolest wallet design i've ever seen

    49. Creator Holden Link on December 8, 2012

Awesome design - I'm a big fan of adding a little bit of fun to everyday things in life. I've never spent more than $20 on a wallet, but I'm willing to take a chance on this one.

    50. Creator BJ Minson & Dan Loveridge on December 6, 2012

I love how passionate people are about this kickstarter! You guys are great. We'll definitely get this thing to work!
