An innovative documentary tackling the issue of childhood obesity, and effecting change. If a kid can do it, so can you.
Help start this groundbreaking project as we set off to empower children around the country with the knowledge and inspiration to change their lives!
Childhood obesity is an epidemic that America can not afford to ignore. Healthcare costs caused by obesity are expected to rise to more than $350 billion per year within the next decade, nearly half coming from public funds.
Obesity-related diseases are among the leading cause of preventable death among Americans, second only to smoking, and if nothing is done this generation will have a shorter life expectancy than the one before it.
While there have been recent efforts to raise awareness of the problem, the information has been scattered, and often times false or misleading. Ad campaigns blind us from the truth and falsely sell products as "healthy," while the hard facts remain hidden away in university studies and reports.
That is where Bite Size comes in. Bite Size is a feature documentary that tackles the problem of childhood obesity head on. The film will follow three children in one Texas classroom provided with the education that they need to change their habits through diet and exercise. It will follow the trials and triumphs of the children and their families, as they learn about health and how to maintain their bodies, and will follow the inspiration that they provide to their surrounding community.
We are all connected, and each one of us knows somebody that is dealing with the difficulties of poor health. Armed with a collaboration of the most influential studies and expert testimonials, Bite Size will provide its viewers with the information they need to get inspired to undertake the same journey, and to change their lives forever.
However, in order to complete this groundbreaking project, we need your help. We are looking to you to help us raise the $15,000 we need to purchase the bare essentials of equipment. With this camera, light, and sound equipment we will be able to spread this story and information in support of a nationwide fight against obesity.
So please, donate today by clicking 'Back This Project' and help show our children, our nation, and the world that change is possible, one bite at a time!
