I backed remee way back when. I got my device years ago. Today, a new remee just showed up addressed to me at my office. I have no idea why or how... What's the deal?

These were basically worthless. Tried them for a month or so. Never noticed the lights. blah blah blah.

I totally forgot I backed this project. I never got mine. This is the now the third Kickstarter project to fail me :-(

My insomnia has been particularly nasty since a little before my Remee came in, so I never got around to trying it in earnest. I sure hope I can get myself sleeping properly again so I can give it a go!

After so many months of trying this thing, I've concluded that this product really doesn't work and I would like to get a refund. Do the inventors even look at these comments anymore?

uncomfortable, very expensive and absolutely no effekt after 4 month of use!
a bearly notice the red lights with closed eyes when I am awake and have nerver noticed them in my drems.
the mask hurts my nose and because it is cut to low at my nose, it is pushed upwards during night, that the lights are out of my field of view. also the 3 lights are to wide apart, so it doesn't really matter what pattern is chosen, you usually anyway can't see all lamps. probably would have been better arranging the lights in an triangle. this would have also helped, if the mask slips upwards during night.

    14. BJ Arellano on April 3, 2013

I emailed them twice since November when it shipped about how my Remee was stolen from my apartment mail box along with other small packages belinging to other tenantsin my apartment building. I still haven't a response or any type of awknowlegement about this. I figured this might help with my nightmares about being in Afghanistan, instead of using pills. I guess i'll never be able to know now. All i ask for is a Remee mask or my money back.

    15. iamtheceo on April 2, 2013

I feel the same way as Jason. I tried it out for a few weeks and realized it did nothing. Now it's sitting in a drawer by my bed. Just another sub par kickstarter product.

I wanted to return the product. I felt it was uncomfortable compared to other eye masks I've worn. It doesn't detect REM but rather has a series of lights set on a timer. You have to play around and try to gauge when you think you'll be in REM and set the lights to go off at that time. I sent four emails over the period of three months about returning the product and go no response at all. Gave up and sold it on ebay for $50.

    17. Koorosh Vahabi on February 27, 2013

Thanks brother, that would be appreciated

    18. Nathan Hokenson on February 17, 2013

@Koorosh Yes, I can try to explain what works for me, turning this stuff into logical, readable info may take me a couple days. I can say this much right now; I used to lucid dream randomly once in a while, then it stopped, then I got REMEE and it was back on literally that night with the default settings. Although some settings definitely do not work for me and remee ends up on the floor or I end up awake. So I flash a new sequence on. If a sequence stops working, I choose the opposite (L to R becomes R to L) to avoid memorizing sequences and writing them off as something to sleep through. Let me compile my experiences with it and I'll post back on here.

Side note: I was dreaming very weird dreams on my holiday flights, almost like I was in two places at once. Try it on a plane! It also weirded out my neighbors every time. Red lights flashing on a plane must be an odd thing not to ask about.

    19. Koorosh Vahabi on February 14, 2013

@Nathan Hokenson. ......thats great...would you mind sharinghow to achieve
lucid dreaming using the mask?....perhaps if you can explainthe exact process you are using, that would be great

And i think to keep customer satisfaction, the reemee founders could include a guide on how to achieve licid dreaming....because i dont believe anyone has been having any success ....of course they delivered exactly what they promised....a mask that will flash lights during the REM stage of sleep....but it would be good to have a guideline to achieve lucid dreaming, just to keep customers happy

Personally, i haventeven noticed the lights yet....i use the brightest setting

    20. Petter Kraabøl on February 14, 2013

I have had the same experience as Victor. I have been using the mask since the beginning of December, and there have been no lucid dreams, nor have I seen any red lights flashing in my dreams (of what I can remember). However, I did/do not expect to immediately start lucid dreaming. The mask is very comfortable to wear and has not caused any problems getting asleep. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, the mask has slid up above my eyes, and I have tried adjusting the tightness. It is not that often, but it does happen.

It has been exciting experimenting with this mask, but from today I cannot use it anymore because my dog somehow found the mask and it is now completely unwearable and nonfunctional (the circuit board is torn and ripped out of the mask). I highly doubt that I'm going to spend an additional $119, $214 in total, to continue to use Remee. :(

    21. Victor Carrano on February 14, 2013

Have used mine at least 15 times. Noticed NO difference whatsoever. All it seems to do is really make me sweat. Should have used a silky type material. Disappointed big time.

    22. Nathan Hokenson on February 8, 2013

I do recommend this company! the product is exactly as shown! And it works too. I am having many vivid lucid dreams with it- you definitely have to teach yourself how to use it through trial and error of sequences and brightness.

@Colin, my strap was defective from start, half of stitching missed the elastic band. Doesn't matter as I do not use it much due to the fact the mask is hot, hurts the bridge of my nose, and no luck with lucid dreams.

    25. Desmond Liew on January 24, 2013

      Hey guys,

It's been over 2 months and I still haven't received my Remee order.

I got a shipping notification email from you guys on the 21st November 2012 and when I look up the tracking number, it shows that it was 'Processed through USPS Sort Facility' in 'JAMAICA, NY 11430' on the 24th November 2012.

I've tried sending you guys an email a couple of times but have received no response so trying through here...

Can you please respond and help me out?

    26. Kyle Robinson on January 23, 2013

I've found that I have a hard time keeping the mask on through the entire night. My sleeping self peels it off right before it has a chance to go off. However, when going to bed at night, wearing it often helps me isolate myself in my own mind. I can open my eyes slightly and still see pitch black, so my hypnagogia stays heavy and continues to engulf my mind.

    27. Colin Vesper on January 22, 2013

I haven't had any luck yet. I hadn't used mine much, and one of the straps has torn almost all the way off. :( Anyone else had this happen?

Hey Nicole! Our apologies to you and anyone else outside of the USA who is still waiting on their Remee to arrive. We've talked ourselves blue in the face with the USPS about their unusually slow delivery times through December. It looks like some of the stragglers are finally arriving, so it is our sincere hope that everyone will be sorted shortly.

    31. Nicole Bradshaw on January 2, 2013

WOW really :( I can't believe that USPS would have it in one location for a month before sending it on! That would be so bad... I sent the guys an email a couple of days ago as well to see if they can find out where it's at.

I received my about a month ago. I've used it for maybe a week straight and I noticed the other night that the middle led on the right side won't light up anymore. It flickers on and off if I press on it but thats about it. In any case, how do we go about getting a replacement?

    35. Ian on December 28, 2012

I just receive my Remee and all of the sticking has fallen out in the transport What the hell its a complete rip off!

    36. Nathan Hokenson on December 26, 2012

is there a Remee dream forum to post dreams in yet? I posted my most significant dream yet on here on Dec. 5th. In that case the mask acted as a way to make me conscious in my dreams, but I was not fully lucid yet. Still working on it!

    37. Sevan Bomar on December 25, 2012

I'm already a lucid dreamer I was actually reviewing the product for those in our community. I thought I remember it saying that it detected REM sleep, other than that when you actually enter REM sleep may vary based on what kind of sleeping habits you have. Anyways I was just seeing if anyone had been able to get results.

    38. Koorosh Vahabi on December 25, 2012

      @Sevan Bomaer

I have not noticed any of the lights either. We do have to test out the different settings to make sure the light blinks at the exact time we are in REM sleep,

REM sleep occurs at different times of sleep for different can range between every 45 to 90 minutes.

But after doing some research into lucid dreaming online, I have realised that the mask is just a tool....there is a bit of prep work that goes into becoming a lucid dreamer.

All successful lucid dreaming techniques state that we must begin by having a "dream journal". This is where we write anything we remember about any dreams we have as soon as we wake up.

We are basically training the brain to allow us to become better at recalling our dreams.

Perhaps the Remee mask should come with a beginners guide to lucid dreaming.

Anyways...I know that lucid dreaming takes practice, so keep at it.

    40. Sevan Bomar on December 25, 2012

Has anyone been successful with this? I'm looking at all of the comments and not one Lucid dream has occurred using the mask. I have used mine and did not notice he lights even coming on even though I'm a light sleeper. Started thinking it was a problem with the mask but it appears everything is working. I thought the product actually sensed REM sleep instead it appears to be basically a LED timer. Someone please advise on better setting if you have been successful with them.

regarding programming problems: turn your screen's brightness to max and it will work. An a MacBook I had to hold the brightness-up key the whole time as it lowered brightness automatically when on battery. For me that worked.

hey bitbanger labs, i just received my remee and was really happy until i found out that the second led was defect. I couldn't find any support link on your site, so had to write a support request here. (sorry if inappropriate post) I found it out while making the brightness setting, it doesn't glow unless i slightly bend it. There is definitely something mechanical to it.

Should i send it back, if so where? Thank you.

    47. Peter McAndrew on December 17, 2012

I've come to the conclusion that the middle of summer is not the best time to be starting to use a sleep mask. I'll probably leave it until it starts cooling down again...

    48. Elad on December 17, 2012

Still not a single response to my email sent to bitbanger labs nor some kind of notification about the delay.
my remee was shipped on Nov 19 and i haven't received it.

      what's going on? i wonder....... :(
