Stasis is a 2D isometric, point-and-click adventure game for Windows & OSX, set in the distant future on a desolate spacecraft. John Maracheck must interact and solve puzzles to save his family, while uncovering horrific experimentation, illicit research and an ever deepening mystery.
Recently there has been an exciting resurgence of the point-and-click adventure genre. Standing on the shoulders of greatness, Stasis follows the game-play mechanics of classics like Space Quest, Kings Quest, the Monkey Island series, The Dig and Day of the Tentacle.
The critically acclaimed, Sanitarium - a psychological horror adventure game - used a similar graphical setup to Stasis. Stasis follows this unique visual aspect to bring the terrifying tale to life.

Stasis hopes to reinvigorate the mature isometric adventure gaming genre by combining an exciting sci-fi, horror story and awesome graphics with classic game-play.
You direct John using the classic point-and-click interface. John must explore his environment by walking around, using equipment and interacting with the computers, machinery and the inhabitants that populate the spaceship.
Stasis also features an inventory system (Quantum Storage Device) that allows John to utilize items that may be useful. These items can be combined with each other to change their function and accomplish complex tasks. Various puzzles and problems must be solved to progress further into the bowels of the Groomlake. A rich story is weaved through the puzzles and environments while several characters push the narrative forward to an horrific conclusion.

Mark Morgan has musically illustrated so many of the worlds that I have been lost in: Zork Nemesis, Zork Grand Inquisitor, Planescape Torment, Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas (to name but a few). Now with future work to look forward to - the soundtracks ofWasteland 2, Project Eternity and Torment: Tides Of Numenera.

John Maracheck awakes from Stasis on the Groomlake, a seemingly derelict spacecraft. This re-purposed mining ship, conveniently outside the jurisdictional influence of Earth, is in a decaying orbit around gas giant, Neptune.
Cayne Corporation is a trillion dollar, multinational company which has played a pivotal role in human technological, medical and scientific advancement for decades. The Groomlake is operated by this conglomerate and provides a secret platform for horrific experimentation and illicit research.
John is in tremendous pain. His wife and daughter are missing and time is running out, as the Groomlake plunges further into the swirling blue methane clouds…
Inspired by sci-fi classics like Alien, Event Horizon and Sunshine - Stasis is set in a time of blurred morality, where corporate pursuits of profit outweigh the rights of the many.

Stasis has been in active, but part-time, development for three years. If Stasis became a full time project it would become a reality faster.
Crowd-sourced fundraising will allow for a commissioned musical score, professional voice artists, professional copy editing, additional layers of graphic detail and fidelity, further animation libraries, cut scenes and more.
The Brotherhood has big plans for more isometric adventure games, but first, Stasis needs to be successful.

He spends the rest of his waking moments being inspired by games, obsessing over sci-fi films & TV series and creating 3D art.
Chris and Nic (the other brother) have been making games together for twenty years and Stasis is a culmination of their passion for story telling and world building.

Stasis is a 2D game and as such it will run on most setups from the past few years - that being said, Stasis has a massive amount of animation and this animated content does require some juice to run smoothly and reduce load load times between areas.

After devoting three years to Stasis, we will complete this project to the highest level of polish possible.
Creating a game is a massive challenge but we are well aware of the resources required to ship a finished product, which is why we have set our funding goal at $100,000.
In our day-to-day business, we manage large scale 3D projects with very tight deadlines and have used these skills to facilitate the same types of processes with the production of Stasis.
We do feel responsible for backer money, and further to this, we want to deliver an awesome experience leading up to the release of Stasis.
