I'm still waiting for mine in Hungary. There is no sign of any such parcel in the custom office neither in the international parcel exchange unit of Hungarian Post. Shall I declare my pledged money as lost?

Sorry, Birdhouse Studios but I have to agree with others on the suction cup issue. The nesl may just be another item that goes inside the desk. You must have some super secret spit because mine have been in a faucet, spit on, soaked in water and they won't adhere beyond a 24 hour period especially when my iPhone goes in and out of it. I suppose my desk surface is the problem. :( They just don't work like advertised over time. I do give you props for a great idea. Looked good on paper and I do hope v2 will be better.

Received them, but the sucktion doesn't work. So in the end, just some extra crap I will have to throw away.

@Aidan Cooper - I'm in Melbourne, Australia and have received mine! It's great, I have it in the bathroom, holding toothbrushes (it even holds combs and the kids hairbrushes - it's stuck on a wall sideways and is perfect. It's a really awesome product, well done guys...

I figured out I could unscrew the suction cups, now they're great for desk use (since mine's wood and won't suction)! Especially when you have anymore than four together, they sit no problem since I don't need them to suction.

Hi guys - I received mine earlier this week. Thank you for the note placed in the Kickstarter orders. Of the many Kickstarter projects I've backed, this is the first to thank and recognize our involvement outside of this website. The product quality is terrific!

    10. Gabriel on June 5, 2013

      Birdhouse Studios,
got mine in yesterday..woohoo! These look and work just as good as pictured/described in the video. Thanks for the nifty product. Looking forward to those other colors also pictured in the video :)

By the way, what ever happened with the William McShane fund? Are we going still going to see nesl in Brookstone in the future?

Did you stop updating us because you're too busy updating Brookstone? See, this is the problem with corporate sponsorship; once they give you a little money they think they can monopolise your time and tell you what to do and who you can and can't be friends with.

Got mine in the mail yesterday, nice to have the product in hand.

Kind of disappointed in the amount and quality of updates for this project. Half the reason I back these things is to see the process. Though I can't say that this one is the worst project I've backed in that regard.

    13. Aidan Cooper on June 3, 2013

Still waiting for mine. Anyone in Australia received them yet?

    14. Paul Yarmer on May 30, 2013

Got mine. Suctions cups work fine on smooth surfaces. Lightly painted wood finishes seem to be too porous. But I've had one stuck upside down to a plastic file inbox at my desk for 24 hours and another sideways on my kitchen counter for 48 hours now.

      Looking good!

    15. Larry Summers on May 29, 2013

Got mine last night. Long journey but they are nice. Co-worker thought it was some sort of massager. Thanks Birdhouse...........................and i got a sticker!!

    16. Larry Summers on May 26, 2013

Any idea when I will get my Nesl's? Im in Cleveland and its a bit disheartening hearing someone in Spain got theirs almost a week ago, but I haven't gotten a thing.

    17. Dwayne Tatum on May 24, 2013

So, it's officially been past a year of me backing this product and I STILL haven't received my nesl. I think those of us that still haven't gotten our product have been more than patient and you guys need to find a way to either get us our product or give us our money back with interest.

    18. Birdhouse Studios Creator on May 21, 2013

      Hey Guys,
It seems some of you have been having some trouble with your suction cups. I would recommend you give the suction cup a quick dip in some water (I like to make-out with mine for a bit before applying, but that's just me) and stick it onto a smooth surface. Then firmly press down on the middle finger. After that, you should be good! I have 4 hanging (upside down) on a metal surface above my desk. They have been up there for over a week holding pens, cords, cards, my phone, and a bunch of other stuff. None have fallen yet!
      Birdhouse out

    19. Aidan Cooper on May 20, 2013

So Thursday marks the one year anniversary for this project. Hopefully I'll receive mine before then.

I'm enjoying my NESL Mine sits on my window (glass surface) where my cell phone now resides and wakes me up each morning. I've had the two of them stuck to the glass for several days and they've yet to fall.

    21. Xavi on May 20, 2013

I recibed mine in Spain today.
Good desing but he suction cups where ugly.
I test it on my desk(glass), wet and dry and its impossible to get it fixed for a long time.

I hope to find more powerful suction cups.

    22. Paul Yarmer on May 17, 2013

@Jeremy, seems that would be more than slightly disappointing, suction cups used to mount sideways was a selling point in their video.

Did you try the suction dry, wet or both?

    23. Jeremy Stewart on May 16, 2013

I just got mine in the mail today and the suction cups do not stick to my desk which is slightly disappointing.

Update #16 said they were shipping 'next week'. Next week was last week. This week, is 2 weeks after update #16 and this week is nearly half over. Birdhouse, provide us another update please. Did you ship them all? 50% of them? 0% of them? What are the new dates?

Could we please now have a update if your not to busy on the following.....
      1. OEM suction cups have they been sourced / ordered.
      2. Screws have they been sourced / ordered.
      3. Packaging have any developments been made regards what your going to put the product in??
      4. Assembly / Production plans... Any??
      5. Postage.... Any??.
      6. Finish Date Of Project... Any??

      Many Thanks

    36. Paul Yarmer on March 26, 2013

@Matthew, you're not going to like their latest update. Sounds like they got a new toy to eventually build their product with, but right now it's them just drooling over the machine. No timeframes. Soon is relative to the person that says it, not to any of us.

Birdhouse as this project slowly dies with less and less contact from yourselves could we please have a decent update and some indication of timing for completion. As of yet there has been no clear communication of the development process with regard to timing and completion date. Also by now you should of been sorting out packaging and distribution as they also have large timing impacts.

very surprised how long its taking to make the mold. Certainly didn't think that it would take this long, are they mining for the steel or or something!?

Anyhow, can't wait till its here!

    45. Birdhouse Studios Creator on January 30, 2013

The mold is still being made. We were notified the other day that it was at 90% completion, so we are really close to being done. We've also purchased the OEM suction cups. We'll post some pictures once we see the initial test shots, which should be sometime next week.

    46. Xavi on January 28, 2013

      Hi. Any news?

    47. Birdhouse Studios Creator on January 10, 2013

We have been updating whenever we see fit. Anyone is welcome to send us questions, at any time, and we will give them, whatever information is available to us, at the time.

At the current moment, the mold is 45% complete. We are trying to get some pictures to show for an update.

      Thanks for the encouraging comments!

@ David S...... yep but the one big thing we have not been getting is "frequent communications" ......

I think many people have lost sight of what Kickstarter is about. This isn't an e-commerce sight to add existing products in your cart and have it shipped within a definitive period of time. This is a new method of innovators to collect funding based on a concept or in some instances a prototype. In either case, they haven't had experience designing, building, prototyping, manufacturing, testing, re-testing, making alterations. This is a long journey of discovery and for most of the Kickstarter projects I've pledged, the innovators are committed and dedicated to what they have pledged to do. Some of this will take longer then their estimates. It is a learning process. We are funding innovation and creation. We need to be patient. The only thing I've ever expected of a kickstarter project is frequent communications. Otherwise, enjoy the journey. If you NEED something more immediately, go to your local store or favorite e-commerce reseller.
