Hello once again folks, another month has passed and I'm pleased to say we've been making steady progress in a relatively drama free month.
Again we've spent a bit of time this month ensuring all of our models and textures created before the switch to Unity 5 are setup to take advantage of the new PBR lighting system (mentioned in our March update). Also Peter has been working on a home for these critters...
Turns out there's quite a few of these little fellas on board the Imperialise, however *SPOILERS* it is unlikely that they'll all make it back to ol' Blighty. :(
A broad range of animations have been crafted for our little green friends during the month in addition to crafting dramatic performances for Cpt English such as below...
We put together a couple of other animations we hope folks will find more amusing than English sitting down in an armchair, however we've decided to hold off showing those until folks see them in the game!
We're also about one third of our way through animating all the character's lip-sync in the game (yes, we're still committed to doing all that by hand!). As we said from the start we figured slightly rushed, rough around the edges hand animation would give us better results than something completely automated. That and we just hate going outdoors... Or spending time with our families.
In other news a delightful chap called James popped by to help us with some concepts for some other rooms inside the Imperialise, some of which can be viewed below...
So good progress has been made on the art side of things as we try to get back on schedule.
A few more games that adventurers may find interested that are currently ongoing include...
Vincent the Vampire
Folks may remember we mentioned Vincent and his Aussie creators Intuit by Design towards the end of our own campaign last December. Unfortunately that time round Vincent didn't quite make his target (hey, it can happen to us all!) but Intuit are back looking for your support and have a PC demo for you to try before pledging. So check that out and get behind them if you can.
Ore Creative are looking your support to help them bring a surreal adventure beyond the stars, or more accurately our star. Following the tale of Ira, a boy who dreams of exploring space this beautifully framed adventure has been successfully Greenlit but desperately needs your help to reach it's goal. Again, a demo is available for you to try before backing.
Order of the Thorne & Roehm To Ruin
It would be remiss of us not to mention friend of the Goat Mr Steve Alexander's latest campaign for another infamous quest. Hot on the heals of the well received Quest for Infamy Steve and the folks at Infamous Quests are looking your support to help them create an anthology of old school adventure games. Do swing by and check out their campaign and check out Quest for Infamy if you haven't already!
Finally a big congratulations to our friends over at Fictiorama Studios who have just released their successfully funded Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today to a host of very positive reviews. While aiming (and certainly by all accounts striking) a much more somber tone than the adventure we're developing Dead Synchronicity is certainly a game that I personally am looking forward to sitting down and playing through myself. Check out the trailer below or visit their site for details on how to get a copy for yourself:
