Hi Folks,

What a nail biting last 24 hours for our fellow adventurers OKAM STUDIO! Thanks to many of you Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy made it over the line with little time to spare. It was phenomenal the love those guys received from adventure game fans in a huge, against the odds surge towards the end of their campaign. It's great to see other people succeed and be given the chance to prove themselves to the world. I'm very much looking forward to playing The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy myself. Hopefully we too can enjoy something similar in 14 days time, but to do that we need your support!

Now, as I alluded to in our previous update...

Star in Her Majesty's SPIFFING!

Today we're announcing a variety of new backer rewards, including the opportunity to have a cameo in Her Majesty's SPIFFING yourself! Peter has been hard at work creating the HMS version of BigD (a backer well known to many who have frequented our comments section).

BigD will be making a brief appearance at the end of chapter one (upon the arrival of our cousins from the former colonies) and will pop up occasionally onboard the ship English finds himself upon in chapter two.

BigD provided us with a couple of photographs to work on his character, look out for him towards the end of The Empire Staggers Back!

Modelling and rigging a character in 3D can be quite a laborious task so, unfortunately, these rewards will be very limited (and make up our more expensive reword tiers).

Additionally, seeing as our 3D prints of Cpt English haven't been rushing off the shelves, we've lowered the asking price for them plus, are giving one backer the opportunity to have not only their digital doppelganger in-game but also we'll make you a 3D print of your character as well!

It could be your character standing tall next to your own Subway Melt!

This is our highest reward tier so I understand that it's not something that many folk can justify. We're also adding digital bundles (so you can get two copies of the game at a reduced price) plus, for those who want to appear in the game but can't quite justify the expense of having a 3D character made, we'll be giving you the opportunity to have a caricature of yourself painted and placed into an ornate picture frame that will adorn the walls of the lower deck of the HMSS Imperialise. English will be able to examine your picture frame for a closer look and we'll have a chat with any takers about what appropriate dialogue he will say when observing this masterpiece.

We'll have an example of what that will look like in a future update and update the reward graphics on main campaign page soon, but just to summarise, here is what's new:

DOUBLE LUNAR BASE MODEL (£20) - x2 DRM-FREE Digital Copies of HMS Episode 1

DOUBLE MARATHON BAR (£50) - Same as DOUBLE LUNAR BASE MODEL plus x2 Season Passes

STARGAZER (£100) - All digital rewards plus have your portrait hung along the corridors of the HMSS Imperialise

HERE LAIKA (£700) - All digital rewards plus make a cameo appearance as a full 3D NPC in-game

HERE STRELKA (£1000) - Same as "HERE LAIKA" but you'll also get a 7 inch 3D print of your character (and the postage, wherever you are, is on us!)

Keep spreading the word

We're tantalisingly close to 500 backers, this would be a fantastic landmark to hit and will put us on a good footing as we head into the last two weeks of our campaign. So keep spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook and remember to vote for HM SPIFFING on Steam Greenlight.

We will only succeed with your help. OKAM showed that there is a passionate community of adventure gamers on Kickstarter that, when they rally together, can achieve great feats in the face of seemingly impossible odds. We value and appreciate everyone who has pledged regardless of how big or how small. Thank you so much for your support and keep spreading the word!

Finally for now

Thank you to Cameron Ward for giving our campaign a mention on their website, also thank to Speedster for making us aware of this article on GamingOnLinux.com and it is with regret that we learned that our fellow Irish devs (south of the boarder) Story Beasts have had to postpone their own Kickstarter campaign for Simon The Sorcerer until the new year. Be sure to keep an eye out for that, I'm sure we'll post an update here once they get underway.

Thank you again for all your support so far,

- Will

Well Serena, for everyone else, being on the screen adds 10 pounds. I apparently, have reversed that trend! It has been a blast modeling (if that is the word) for this cameo! More than worth every pence spent!

What happened to BigD's moobs? How can you have a boobkateer without the boobs?!

Hmmm... Never knew that 3D modeling was so slimming. ;-)

That 3D model of BigD looks great! I hope we can get that end of campaign momentum from Dog Mendonça shifted over here now that their campaign has ended. And that GamingOnLinux.com looks like a neat site. :)
