Very briefly

Hi folks,

If truth be told I've rushed this update out quickly as there is another campaign I was looking to mention again before it's too late so I'll be brief, but expect another update before the end of the week with a more final version of what we're showing.

Join the cast of Her Majesty's SPIFFING

Since Peter's return he has been hard at work creating a digital version of one of our backers.

Peter sculpting away, still some work to be done on the likeness but we're hoping the backer will be happy once the model is finished later this week!

Once he's finished (and the backer we're referring to is happy with the results) we'll upload images of the finished model and explain more about how other folks can feature in Her Majesty's SPIFFING themselves!

Obviously these rewards will be very limited, we'll have more information in our next update.

INGONGA: A horror mystery in the swamps of Louisiana

I came across HeyKiddo! Games' campaign for Ingonga on Twitter, it's a super polished looking first person horror game. The genre has, much like adventure games, seen a bit of a resurgence of late, so if you've spent any time avoiding a Xenomorph in the shoes of Amanda Ripley this last few weeks Ingonga is certainly worth a look.

Last 48 Hours for The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizza Boy

I really wanted to bring OKAM STUDIO's campaign to people's attention. I know many of our backers are supporting their campaign as well but for those of you that aren't (or perhaps weren't aware of their campaign) I'd urge you to consider backing them too.

Adventure games are tough to make and ones with high production values such as Dog Mendonça & Pizza Boy are even harder to make. I know it's became a cliché that you hear on pretty much every Kickstarter but publishers don't want to take the risk to fund games like ours (I thought this was all exaggerated until we started taking HM SPIFFING around publishers and found out that, as the old saying goes, there's no smoke without fire).

In spite of national disagreements (we did go to war over a couple of islands not so long ago!) I'm sure Cpt English himself would want to see fellow adventurers succeed. If you haven't already do consider giving OKAM your support as well.

Sorry, I know folks can get annoyed receiving updates 'advertising' other campaigns but adventure devs have got to stick together!

We'll have a proper update of our own in the next couple of days, thanks for your time.

That's cool to hear Carl, I keep reading online that some backers get annoyed with this cross promotion type stuff. I think we've gotten away with it because the campaigns we've talked about are ones that we think people that play our game might be into. It's a nice community on Kickstarter, everyone understands what each other is going through and folks are usually happy enough to mention other folks campaigns. Glad you find it more interesting than annoying!

Actually, I very much appreciate updates "advertising" other campaigns. That word-of-mouth is the only way I find out about other cool new games.

Yeah, let's get Dog Mendonça funded too! :)
