The Americans are coming!
Firstly thanks to everyone that's backed our project so far, it's great to see some old faces again in amongst some new blood as well. We had a great opening day, we know it's somewhat unlikely that we'll see the same level of momentum throughout the entire campaign but nevertheless a few more days like yesterday would be very welcome!
Today I wanted to share our progress with of our American crew, below you can see that we have Commander Kathryn Femkirk rigged, animated and ready to be dropped into the game:
We haven't shared to much information about our American crew just yet. In the next few updates we'll post up a few more images of them and talk a bit about the inspiration for their uniforms and technology.
Also, a question came up regarding where exactly the £30k would be spent if we where successful, this will be the subject of our first video update next week. Also if anybody else had any questions that they'd like us to answer on camera leave them in the comments below and we'll work it into one of our future videos.
Finally for now we wanted to bring your attention to a couple of other adventure game projects seeking your support that more than deserve to be made.
H. P. Lovecraft: The Case of Charles Dexter Ward
Agustín is a delightfully amusing gentleman, and one who is prepared to go to great lengths to see his dark, mystery laden adventure game made. By his own admission they have some distance to go with only 14 days remaining. Head over to their campaign page now and give them the support they need to see them over the line, it looks like a very worthy project.
The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizza Boy
Obviously there is an adventure gaming renaissance going on in Argentina as Okam Studio are working hard at the coal face as well to bring you a slightly different take on similar mysterious occult featuring source material in The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizza Boy. Okam's beautiful 2D art style (lifted from the pages of the critically acclaimed comic series itself) looks right at home amongst some of the best looking adventure games, be sure to give them your support to if you can.
That's all from me for now, if you need me I'll be franticly chasing up members of the gaming press to see if we can get a bit more coverage for our campaign the rest of the afternoon. We can't overestimate how important it is that you folks share our campaign and of course our demo. This game simply won't get made without your efforts as much as our own so keep spreading the word and help us keep the momentum going!
Thank you for your support,
