Pig-Pen is a quick fire family strategy game for 2-4 players where each player does their best to capture pigs in pens. Grab your hand and play cards building your pen to capture the pigs. However, be careful, as your opponent will be looking to ruin your hard work and steal your pigs.
The game consists of 90 cards and will grow bigger as the Kickstarter campaign grows. The more support we receive, the more we can include in your packages!
Here's what you will receive for your pledge:
$10 - SWINE SWAG: Buttons, stickers and more with your favorite pigs! Every dollar helps us make the best game possible, and we wanted to give you something special for your support. All pledge levels include the Swine Swag.
$20 - GAME: One copy of Pigpen with free US shipping.
$25 - GAME AND UFO EXPANSION: One copy of Pigpen PLUS the UFO Expansion and free US shipping. The UFO expansion is an extra 17 cards that spin things around a bit. Instead of just worrying about your neighbors, now you also have to worry about UFO's stealing your pigs! You might even have to cooperate with your opponents. Also comes with 2 extra Pig Cards.
$30 - SIGNATURE EDITION OF GAME AND UFO EXPANSION: One copy of the Signature Edition of Pigpen PLUS the UFO Expansion and free US shipping. The Signature Edition of the game comes signed by designer Kevin Kulp, with a special Kevin Pig Card, and a Secret Bacon Pack rule card for those who want to put a tasty twist on the standard game.
$50 - CUSTOM PIG CARD AND SIGNATURE EDITION OF GAME AND UFO EXPANSION: A custom playable card of yourself (or a loved one) as a Pig! PLUS one copy of the Signature Edition of Pigpen PLUS the UFO Expansion. This is the ultimate pig package, putting you or a loved one right into the game! Matt McKenna will complete the custom illustration and you will receive both a physical and digital version of your pig card.
In a game of Pig-Pen, players are dealt a hand of five cards, with these cards they are going to build pens to capture pigs. A stack of Pigs, depending on the number of players, is the timer for the game. Once these pigs are gone the game is over. On their turn players may play two cards, discard a card, and replenish their hands back to five cards. The choices they have are to either build their pen(s) or attack their opponent(s.)
Pens are made six cards: Four Pen cards, a Feed card to entice the pig and finally a Gate card. Players can attack their opponents with attack cards that destroy Pen cards or Unlock Gates. Even when a Pig is captured, it still isn't safe as players can attempt to steal it with Attack cards. Players ultimate goal is to have the highest point Pigs in their Pens at games end.

Kevin Kulp is a designer from Southeast Pennsylvania. He has been designing games all his life but started getting serious about it when some pigs started oinking in his ears. He was the instigator of Langguini and published a game made in a world record (alleged) of 10 (whole) minutes at Global Game Jam 2012 known as Twisted Tails. He is currently pitching his game Kingship to publishers.

Risks and challenges
With our experience in previous Kickstarter campaigns we know that there are unexpected obstacles that will arise during and after the project. We successfully delivered our last tabletop project(LangGuini) and will use our experience with that one and apply it to this one. If setbacks arise, we will pull from our other teams to make sure we do not fall behind. We know what printers to use for having the game made based on previous experience and have a few proofs versions created for review so we are already ahead of the game a bit.
Additionally we are in the process of working another successful campaign for a Digital Game called Orion's Odyssey, the game is finished and we are working with our backers actively to get all of their physical rewards to augment their digital rewards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
