Famous Missions is a party game where players put together their best team of famous (and sometimes infamous) personalities to handle the mission at hand.

If you ended up missing the campaign please head here to order the game.

You need to dismantle a bomb, QUICKLY! You look around and see George Lucas, Donald Trump, Oprah, Gene Simmons, Danny DeVito, Joan of Arc and Shaquille O'Neal. Who will you choose?

Choose 3 and defend your choice. You'll need to argue for them later.

Those are the basics. The game plays with as few as 2-3 people, and as many as you can deal out cards.A great game for late nights with creative friends, and will be sure to end in a riot (the good or bad kind).

Famous Missions can be a very creative game where you use your knowledge of celebrities (good and bad) to your advantage. You can also use your skills in BSing the other players, referencing facts about the celebrities that may or may not be true.

For fans of Cards Against Humanity, The People's Court, The Leonard Maltin Game, Wikipedia, arguing, Burt Reynolds, and random useless knowledge.

Jason Tagmire is a game designer from South Jersey. He is best known for reducing our 16th president to 16-bits in his card game / video game, Pixel Lincoln. He's the designer of AEG's card-throwing game, Maximum Throwdown, co-set designer of Quarriors: Quest of the Qladiator and creator of Storyteller Cards.

Island Officials is an independent game developer based in Woodbury, New Jersey. Originally founded in 2006 by CEO Ryan Morrison and COO Ryan Harbinson in Morrison’s' basement, we've now grown into a company of over 20 tirelessly working individuals with more than a dozen completed digital and analog games under our belt.

Risks and challenges

With our experience in previous Kickstarter campaigns we know that there are unexpected obstacles that will arise during and after the project. We successfully delivered our first tabletop project(LangGuini) and will use our experience with that one and apply it to this one. If setbacks arise, we will pull from our other teams to make sure we do not fall behind. We know what printers to use for having the game made based on previous experience and have a few proofs versions created for review so we are already ahead of the game a bit.

Additionally we are in the process of working another successful campaign for a Digital Game called Orion's Odyssey, the game is finished and we are working with our backers actively to get all of their physical rewards to augment their digital rewards and Pig pen we are working to fulfill the backers as we speak, gathering the art and waiting on final proofs to order the final product.

Orion's Odyssey is near 100% and we are awaiting on t shirts and 3d statues from a vendor, the game was launched earlier than expected from Nintendo and it threw us off but it should be done well before FM closes out.

Pig Pen has taken longer than expected and we adjusted the dates on Famous Missions based on that experience, I have all the non game rewards set up and are awaiting the final proof of the game before we order from our new vendor. I have been in communication with my backers on a regular (monthly) basis to fill them in although I know they want daily updates but that is just not realistic (or possible).

My partners and I are excited about FM as it is the social game being distributed at Game Developers Conference this year in San Francisco by the International Game Developers Association, we did a lot of prep work and sent out 2000 promo packs (6 cards each) to help build the audience and hype for the campaign that we are hoping to launch on Monday. The art is 3/4 done and we have all the campaign work set up.
