Be warned, hiding in these woods, there lies not just one Bigfoot, not a few Bigfoots, and not a gaggle of Bigfeet….But an entire community of Bigfootses.
Go in the woods with your trusty Bigfootses call, cloak your scent with Bigfootses' urine, and get ready for adventure!
Full of Aliens, Yeti, The Loch Ness Monster, and every other Legendary Creature you can think of.
This game consists of two decks: the Woods Deck (70 cards) and the Thingies Deck (55 cards). In the Woods Deck, you encounter Bigfootses and Creatures to battle and draw Events that can dramatically change the game. You can even find your true calling and take one of six Professions. The Thingies Deck is full of Equipment, Items, Actions, and Card Modifiers to help you along in your quest.
Your goal? Be the first player to corral 10 Bigfootses to win the game!
One Man's fight against the Internet!
One day at work, a simple question was raised...What is the plural of Bigfoot?
"It's Bigfoots", proclaimed one worker.
"Nonsense", said another, "Bigfoot is both singular and plural."
A third chimed in,"If the plural of foot is feet, then wouldn't the plural of Bigfoot, be Bigfeet?"
Hmmmm, we pondered the choices.....Then a forth spoke up, "I think it's Bigfootses."
We all knew he was right! The debate was settled, life could go on...but a quick Internet search yielded surprising results: the Internet claimed the plural of Bigfoot was not Bigfootses, but this time, the Internet was wrong.
The mere mention of the word Bigfootses, brought a hilarious vision in my mind. I envisioned not just two or ten, but thousands of cartoonish Bigfootses, living and playing in blissful secrecy from us humans. They were pushing each other on swings, skipping rope, playing games, and doing others things Bigfootses do. They all turned and looked at me at once with shocked looks on their faces, like deer in headlights. Then they scattered and were gone. In that vision, formed this game: a lighthearted, comical look at what it would be like to visit that world where Bigfootses are plentiful and playful.
NOTE: The above cards contain concept art, and are not final.
ALL DICE ARE KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE: Dice are 16MM etched dice
Two Dice Guaranteed: Marble Ivory/Black and Gemini Black-Copper/White
Three more with Stretch Goals: Opaque White/Black, Scarab Blue Blood/Gold,and Velvet Silver/White
Stretch Goals the Bigfootses’ Way!
I have seen a lot of stretch goals based on total money received, and although I think those make sense, it seems like as a backer, you really don't have much control over that. So I have tied all DICE stretch goals directly to social networking, which you can directly affect. If all three of the social network marks are met and the backer level is reached the die stretch goal will be unlocked.
The following cards can be customized based on your backer level.
For $40 you get the game with a customized benefactor card with your name on it, The card instructs whoever gets the card to personally thank you before drawing their cards. This card will be exclusive to your copy of the game.
For $175 you can have your image used as concept art for an Event, Equipment, Item, Action, or even a Modifier. Requests can be made on a first come, first serve basis, Available cards are; "The Beggar", "Shake and Roll the Dice!", "Slight of Hand", "Science Sauce", "Ninja", "Poor House", "Men in Black", "Gambling", "Swami", and "Its not you, it's me",
Risks and challenges
The game is already developed and in the later stages of play testing with the beta art work (and a lot of fun, I might add). I have a printing company lined up for production, and everything is ready to go. Your contributions allow me to make a mass production run, getting the absolute best printing cost. With those profits, it will allow me to order more custom artwork, by Jamie Sale. However, custom artwork and printing do take some time. I promise to keep you informed every step along the way, until your copy arrives at your door, sometime in June 2014.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
