We are passionate about beer, and we know others are too. We started a little homebrew supply store in Midvale eight years ago because we were having a blast learning about how to make beer, and wanted to pass that knowledge on to others while learning even more ourselves. We opened another little homebrew supply store in Ogden for those in that community that were longing for a reliable resource for ingredients and knowledge. We know that for many people, good craft beer inspires them to explore how beer is made, the history of beer and where it comes from, and how it connects cultures, the people, and their communities.
We are just a couple of kids from South Salt Lake that want to bring our understanding of the love of beer full circle by creating a brewery that is focused on education and community. We believe that great beer can bring people together, and move people out from behind the computer screen and promote social interaction. Whether at a public social gathering, or out relaxing in the wilderness, we want to motivate people to talk, spend time with one another, and not only dream about those insurmountable things in life, but to go out and do them. To remind people that we only have one life to live and having a pint with friends and family can embolden or inspire us to do those things we may not otherwise have the courage to do.
The Wasatch front is our home and we are happy to be a part of the community. We hope to create a brewery and beer hall that serves it well. We invite you to invest in this dream with us, and share in our love of beer, and celebrate its diversity and infinite possibilities in a tap room you can call your own and share with your friends and family.
Opening this brewery has been on our list of projects for the better part of two years, and even with our due diligence, there have been unexpected costs associated with building upgrades, government shutdowns that affected both our loans and our licensing, not to mention all of the red tape we already expected and continue to work through. This project is happening, but we are hoping for support from the homebrewing community that we serve, the craft beer community at large who loves the increase in local craft beer to choose from, and everyone who knows that breweries can add that bit of something extra to a community and our local economy. In our mind, this project is as much about you as it is about us. Your donations will help us make up for time we have lost.
Risks and challenges
We are on a tight timeline to get this brewery up and running and serving beer. It is possible that more government turmoil could delay this project even further, unexpectedly adding to our already tight budget. But rest assured, we will fulfill these reward items when fully funded. None of the rewards include beer or require the drinking of beer. There are no guarantees in life, but we promise to do everything possible to deliver a brewery we can all enjoy and be proud of. We have put it all on the line to do so.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
