      The cable did not last. May I use another USB cable for charging the batteries in the BetterRe AND for charging phones?

      The layout of the pins is just horsesh*t. No idea who designed that but I have 10 old phones at my place ranging from ZTE, Nokia, Samsung, Alcatel, LG AND NOT EVEN ONE BATTERY FITS. Who the f**k designed that ? Why those damn pins are so far apart ? So in the end I had it for a couple of months and was not even able to test it. Because of products like this I stopped backing anything on KS. Good job !

      Although the extortionate import duty to the UK resulted in a high cost I was hopeful. The locking pin on the expansion pack broke as I opened it so I have been taping the battery in place. This doesn't appear to work and a battery around 70% of my phone one is only giving me 10% charge and I suspect that the expansion isn't helping at all.
      Is it possible to fix the locking pin breakage in any way or can someone suggest a method of holding the battery correctly?

      Hi, one time when I had the battery ( which you guys sent me) in the BETTER RE, the middle pogo pin had dramatically movedd sidewards, which had misaligned the spring in the pogo pin and now it is broken. I'm just wondering if this would be covered in the warranty? Because I only left the battery in there until I use it, and it's really unreliable with charging my phone now. If you have an email you can message me, then I can show the damage.

      And when I am trying to charge my phone by using my BETTER RE while my BETTER RE is connected to an USB charger, my BETTER RE makes a sizzling sound.

      Hi. Much like Sam Essex, my BETTER RE is only draining the battery in my phone and, on top of that, it also makes my phone unbearably slow. So it is actually making my phone usage a lot worse, which I guess is the opposite of the original intent of the product. The battery in my BETTER RE is an Samsung Galaxy S3 battery that I got from you, and my smartphone is a Fairphone 2.

      Galaxy Note 4's battery isn't fit into BETTER RE. When we designed BETTER RE, Galaxy Note 4 just came out and we couldn't consider its size.
      To use a battery, you can refer to the transparent film on the front side of the package. If a battery is in the size of the image, that battery is available. (We've already mentioned it on the page of "How to use BETTER RE" in the Campaign of BETTER RE. This size was smaller than now though.)
      We're afraid of your inconvenience. We'll consider your feedback and improve BETTER RE next time.

      Extremely disappointed with my Battery Re at the moment. Campaign stated that it would fit all batteries universally. I have old batteries that are too small for the cage to press it firmly against the pins and I also have 2 Galaxy Note 4 batteries that turn out to be too big for the case itself to fit due to the fact that the bottom of the case budges inside not allowing the case to fit in between. So all in all I have no batteries that I can take use of, so much for recycling old batteries

      Ok so I got my BETTER RE'S. One of them is a gift so I won't know if it works yet until my friend picks it up and uses it. The other, the button does nothing when I press it. Isn't it suppose to light up the 4 led dot lights? The lights light up when I charge the BETTER RE but does not light up when I press the button. Is this right? Then what is the point of having a button that does nothing. And yes I've tried pressing after having a full charge on the batteries. Please let me know how to fix this.

      First of all, we're really sorry for the late response. It takes a long time to organize the issue, we haven't expected, with our team members.
      We'd like to ask your understanding for that.
      Here are the answers of your questions.

      1. Regarding supplied batteries
      : First, we haven't intended to send the faulty battery to you. What we said is that there is a possibility to send the product with faulty battery without the usage test. In this case, we will resend the battery.

      2. For charging the expansion pack
      : The expansion pack can't be charged alone. It is able to be charged with stacking the main pack.

      3. Regarding the charging cable
      : Charging the battery is only able to use micro USB of BETTER RE.

      4. Regarding the noise of charging
      : BETTER RE uses the step-up circuit and there is the part, called the inductor. The inductor makes the noise when the current is over the adjustable range of the inductor. A normal battery pack is applying the inductor designed its fixed current, whereas it's hard to set up the range of current for BETTER RE's inductor because BETTER RE has to accept variety batteries. We will keep researching and improving this issue.

      5. For charging BETTER RE
      : It's difficult to fully charge the used battery when its voltage is higher than BETTER RE. BETTER RE has been set 4.1V for charging voltage if the charging voltages of the batteries are 4.2V or 4.3V, the batteries aren't able to be fully charged. We set the charging voltage properly because there is a risk of the overcharge if BETTER RE's charging voltage is set higher than other batteries.

      6. Regarding the engraving
      : We're going to engrave the part in this week. And, we will ship your engraved part next week.

      We're really afraid that you make very disappointed. We agree with that it has many shortcomings. We will do our best with many backer's advise included you.

      Hello,

      I have attempted to use my battery and expansion pack to charge a mobile phone, however it is not working.

      Even with charging the Better RE to full capacity (4 LED lights) the following occurs:
      - with the first phone, a Galaxy Note 3, switched off, the Better RE drained the phone battery from 44% to 41% in 20 minutes or so. We disconnected the Better RE and plugged the phone into the wall to charge.
      - with the second phone, a HTC Desire S, switched on, I received the following message when plugging in the Better RE: 'Unable to charge. Your phone is using more current than the charger is able to deliver. Please power off your phone or close unused applications.'

      I then switched off my phone and kept it attached to the Better RE. However, the phone was drained from 7% power to 1% power before I disconnected them.

      The batteries I'm using in the battery and expansion pack are both Samsung and were manufactured in 2012 and 2013.

      I've found one mention in the written text of your campaign which mentions the age of batteries to use in the Better RE:
      Even after 2 years smartphone batteries still have 80% efficiency remaining.

      I assume the age of the batteries I'm using is not the issue, then.

      I've read a lot about your desire for environmental sustainability however, at the moment, my battery and expansion pack is simply a good looking piece of equipment that is actually detrimental to the environment as it currently has no purpose.

      Are you able to advise a solution to this problem?

      Could you tell us what the manufactured date of the battery is?
      If the efficiency of battery is very low, the connection is unstable and the charging doesn't work. We'd like to suggest to test a relatevely recent battery again.

      Idea ding all of the negative feedback on this isn't surprising.

      You guys take forever to respond.

      This thing doesn't seem to work properly for most people.
      How did you not catch the hissing sound before you sent there out? Why are people getting charged shipping fees when that is a cost of every kickstart campaign?

      People not getting what they asked for.

      The sides for his is great. I just feel that ou guys rushed into something you wee not prepared for. I feel this product does not fulfill what it was claimed to do.

      With a double battery pack and the 2 batteries you supplied, I cannot even charge my phone over a full charge. I should be able to get more than that.
      It doesn't seem to fully charge when I try to fill up the better re. Not sure if that is the batteries or not.

      Huge waiting time for communication. This is the first time I have been let down on Kickstarter.

      1) BETTE RE is disconnected to charge from pack(include extension) to my phone(S6) periodically, so I can see pop up message "connected to charge" on my phone screen.
      It means that it is very unstable status and stopping charge to my mobile device...
      This is my first question.
      So I've turned phone off for charging with stable situation of my phone. But BETTE RE still
      stop to charge periodically. I never been used just 1 time using this. It looks not working well.
      How I can technical help for this....frankly design is awesome but basic function is disappointed.

      I received my parcel a few weeks ago and everything is working fine, but now I got a letter from FedEx billing me 12€ for the French customs, which is fine as I didn't pay any VAT in Korea, but then another 14 bucks for administrative fees! As they are part of the shipping costs in my opinion, do you consider to pay those for me?

      Mine seems to charge for awhile and then will no longer charge. It may have burnt out my micro usb cables. The first cable i used no longer charges it, i grabbed a second one and it charged once. Now no longer works.
      Im tempted to try a 3rd cable but im going to be mad if it burns up too.

      Alright so this thing doesn't seem to hold a charge. You sent it fully charged. I went out and got a cord to use for it. Charged the device for quite a while. Trying to use it right now. It is basically dead. I checked the pins multiple times to make sure the batteries are in correctly. Currently using two Samsung batteries, one in the expansion, which you supplied. I read below that you guys are stating the batteries may be no good?

      Why did we pay more for batteries if it is possible that they are no good?

      Will both packs charge together if you use one cord to charge the main pack? Do you have to charge separately? Does it matter if you use the USB or the other input to charge it?

      I cannot get this thing to work to save my life. I get the pins to contact for a brief split second but no matter what I try they do not stay in contact, and the mechanism to keep the holder in place is very very flimsy and does not do it's job well at all. Not very impressed, to be honest. This is one kickstarter I'd like to return.

      And, in case of the cable, we guess that it's not the problem of the cable as you've tried to connect with two different cables. It would be a problem of the battery.

      First, we'd like to ask for you to check whether your battery has been used recently or not. In the first test of battery usability, BETTER RE is able to test the battery which is left for over a month. And, if you have kept using the battery even though it's almost ran out, it could be passed the test of the battery usability. Could you test your BETTER RE with other batteries?

      When it comes to the customer service, we'd like to ask your understanding as we're still under shipping the products. So, it is difficult to respond immediately to the comments from various channels. And the fastest way to get our response is Kickstarter's message because the comment is not allowed to edit after posting the comment. So, we post the comment carefully by the meeting with team members. We'd like to suggest for you to use Kickstarter's message as it would be faster.
