Two young filmmakers set out to tell a story about trust, faith, and fear. -Psalm 23:)
Inspired by the dancer Cloud's push to make a feature length dance musical, we embark on the journey of making a short film. We are so excited to be getting this project underway!! It is an honor and a privilege to be actualizing this dream.
Be There: A Love Story was thought up one day by Brandon Alexander when listening to the song Poison & Wine by The Civil Wars. His idea for a concept video has now grown into a short film. With the aid of writer/director Nina Simone Moore, this production is well on its way, now we just need a little help from YOU!
Right now we're in pre-production. We’re going to be working throughout the duration of the Kickstarter campaign — scouting locations, storyboarding, doing camera tests. Our shoot dates are set for May 11th-13th. We're looking to have this ready to submit to our church's One Lens Film Festival by May 31st, in addition to other film festivals following.
To all our fellow dancers, choreographers, performers, writers, filmmakers and dreamers, to our friends and family, we would love your support on this endeavor! These funds will go towards equipment, production fees, and paying our crew as well as our dancers (in accordance with Dancers' Alliance guidelines).
Thousands of hopefuls move to LA every year to pursue their dreams. With YOUR help our vision can become a reality!
