Thank you very much for continuing to post updates via Kickstarter - I am another of those backers who has so many projects to keep track of that it becomes a burden to register and visit every project's individual forum / blog / newsletter, so I really appreciate all updates coming through as Kickstarter email updates. Thank you for considering us.

      Hi everyone!

We appreciate you guys speaking up, we take this feedback very seriously and we want you to know that we hear you!

First of all we want to explain why we chose to do this. We wanted to streamline our communication to the community and in doing so we felt that the newsletter was the best way to go about it. However, this meant that kickstarter backers would receive 2 emails every time, which we felt would be spam and not in anyone's best interest.
This is why we did it, which is important for us to express because it is important to us that you know we only have you guys, the players, in mind when we make these type of decisions.

However, it has become quite clear to us that this approach is in fact not in everyone's best interest and we are therefore of course more than happy to take a different approach! :)

So we will maintain the newsletter as our new main source of information, however we will also continue to post updates here on kickstarter - In fact we very much welcome feedback like this on future updates so that we can try and meet the community requirements in the best way we can! :)

We at BetaDwarf want to let everyone know that we are NOT abandoning anything or anyone :)

I agree that it would be a bad move to remove feedback via the kickstarter page. I guess you would not have to make an update as often as you do it on your feed. But once in a while till you have shipped 1.0

And they all (except 1 that was already fairly mediocre in communication/updates during the KS) changed their minds and kept doing updates at least bi-weekly/monthly.

    5. Creator TheChosenOne on June 15, 2013

Wait what? Another Ks that wants to abandon his backers? Haven't you guys seen the other ones that wanted to do that and seen the outrage (rightfully) of the backers?

Have to agree with Kevin on this, it feels like my rewards are being held hostage. I hope you reconsider and at least post a link here.

I think you should provide feedback via Kickstarter until you fulfill your commitments. Just a link to the newletter would be fine, but if I subscribed to all the forums and newletters for all the projects I support I would have no time left. I prefer all contact through this one forum where I can track it easily until it is finished. Thanks.
