Real Arcade Bike
Real Arcade Bike is an Arcade style bike game which is about reaching the goal without crashing and breaking the highscore with a new record time. Inspired by several arcade classics the game features a unique low poly art style.
I am a conviced arcade fan, i like the kind of game where you can directly jump into and addictively play them again and again trying to crush the leaders highscore. I also really like the simpe low poly art style which perfectly matches for arcade games. Unfortunately these kind of games are not very widely published these days. I am working on an arcade style physics engine for several years now in my spare time and feeling ready to use it in an arcade game.
- Custom physics engine designed for simple controlling scheme (no drift buttons) but still challenging gameplay.
- Multiple bike classes with different behaviours.

Even if the game is designed as single player game about driving as fast as possible to the goal without crashing there are several multi player elements aware. In addition to competing with other players for the best time on the leaderboard you will also drive against the recorded ghost of your current leaderboard forerunner.

The game is designed on reaching the goal as fast as possible, but there are also other modes planned, currently i am working on an obstacle mode where you have to reach the goal without crashing into "living obstacles" which also might cross the road.
My goal is to develop the game together with community influence. Hopefully this kickstarter campaign can be the start of a community who share my passion for developing arcade games and help improving the game.
I plan to start the alpha phase soon (the first development build will be ready for end of november 2019) and hopefully get community feedback for modelling / tuning the driving physics parameters for different bike classes.
