So to Speak in the press!

I wanted to share some great news with you about the life of So to Speak after the exhibition at BRIC Rotunda gallery!

Two weeks ago, an expanded version of So to Speak opened at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, with work by Leona Christie, Hollis Frampton, Paula Gaetano, Melinda McDaniel, Fernando Orellana, and Klub Zwei.

The Times Union just published a beautiful preview piece about the exhibition today, written by the ever-talented Amy Griffin! http://www.timesunion.com/entertainment/article/On-exhibit-So-to-Speak-at-the-Arts-Center-of-4255905.php?cmpid=twitter

The exhibition was also featured in a half-page of the Metroland: http://metroland.net/2013/01/25/so-to-speak/

And if you find yourselves in upstate NY, come check it out! The exhibition is up through March 29th. Or, if you can't make it, you can see photos from the opening here!

In Print

The exhibition posters for So To Speak have finally arrived! The prints were designed by the talented Troy-based graphic designer Marguerite Roth, who was inspired by the bold approach to language in Russian Constructivism. Carefully screen-printed by hand on archival Mohawk papers, they shimmer with silver and intense blue inks. They are being rolled up as we speak and shall be in the post this week!

The Short of It

What happens when you pull a camera, a notebook, a handful of sharpies, equal doses of strong coffee and persistence into a brainstorm, and get to work? Nothing less than an amazing stop motion animation! Check out So To Speak's new kickstarter video! http://vimeo.com/m/35434800
