Stretch Goals <= New
Now that we're funded, it's time to kick things up a notch or ten! Here are our lofty, but achievable stretch-goals...
£30,000 Physics Module
At this level, which we should easily reach with your continued support, Ben will passionately extend the physics content in a separate course. For example projectile motion without air resistance would be in the foundation course, but to tackle the differential equations involved in air resistance you'll need to level-up your math even further. Other examples include predicting orbit motion ahead of time, visualising projectile paths, chat modes in pool / snooker games, etc.
£60,000 Shader Module
At this, also achievable level we'll hire the world's best to teach you shaders. Shaders are code that runs on a graphics card, and with the rise of GPUs this is an increasingly important skill. Check out Shader Toy to be mesmerised by what's possible with a few lines of code. Shaders will make you look at game programming a whole new way. Examples include fluid and flame effects, path visualisations, clouds and more.
£100,000 Procedural Generation
Why such a high stretch-goal? Procedural generation is no mean feat to teach, and will require a separate, large course and many many months to produce. The good news is once it's done you'll possess a gamedev super-power that will put your game streaks ahead of others on an affordable art budget. Think Minecraft, examples include terrain, cities, cave systems and more.

There is a real need to improve your math, not just for games, but for many areas of life. You'll be amazed how much more colourful the world looks as your math improves.
You will build math skills from scratch, learning in a logical order and building on past successes. For each skill you will start from an interesting real-world problem. You'll always understand why you're learning a concept, and feel motivated to solve the problem in hand.
All the math you learn will be reinforced with quizzes. You'll write your own handwritten notes as you go, to help you remember your skills. We'll translate all math to pseudocode, so you can easily apply C#, C++, Python and any other modern language.
Topics covered will include, but not be limited to: basic arithmetic, matrices, vectors, number systems and bases, projectiles, constant acceleration formula, combinations, basic probability, trigonometry, rotations including quaternions, algebra, complex numbers, interpolation
This will allow you to build the games you've always wanted to build, felling confident that you're approaching things the "right way". By learning math you will learn to think about the world on a deeper level.
Even if you don't want to make video games, this will be a great way to heal your relationship with math!
