Fiends & Foes - Adorably Deadly Chibi Style 5e Monster Cards
¥1,324,090
273
Fiends & Foes are 5e chibi style monster cards with cool art on the front and the monster's stat block on the back. There are 6 decks with 48 cards in each! That's a total of 288 tarot size cards! (Tarot Size: 70mm x 121mm, 2.75" x 4.75")
Please keep in mind that the rewards are for digital copies of the decks and codes to order the physical cards for the cost of printing. The reasons for this are outlined in the FAQ!

The Front has chibi style art and the monster's name only. This makes it easy to show the card to your players without giving away any information!
The Back has a full stat block with the information organized in the most useful way. At the bottom, space-permitting, there is sometimes a random encounter seed to give the PCs an interesting reason to run across that monster.

There are 6 Decks, each with 40 cards (+2 from each stretch goal!) in them. Every deck will have a different background color scheme that will match the box to make sure you don't mix them up and give some visual variety!

Each deck costs ¥1100 (about $10 USD). This does not get you the actual, physical deck. You choose the decks you would like from the initial 4 Core Decks and any new decks from stretch goals when the Kickstarter finishes. You will receive digital versions of them and a code to order the deck at-cost. For each deck you order, you will receive the following:

So first, you will receive the digital versions of the decks you chose. Along with that, you will get a coupon to order the cards for only the cost of printing + shipping from Drivethrucards. The printing cost for 40 cards is around $8.50. So you can get the PDFs and then decide whether you'd like the cards as well or would rather just print them yourself.
Drivethrucards ships internationally. You can find more specifics about the Printing and Shipping costs in the FAQ.

Collector's Edition tier backers will be able to get this coffee table book (8.5" x 11") filled with every monster pic we draw, which means that it can range from 160 - 400 pages and will be in alphabetical order. We thought it'd be cool to flip through it and check out the art in more detail, but it's really just a thank you for a lot of support. Collector's Edition tier backers will also get at cost codes for 5 posters (12" x 18"). They can choose from any monster we've done.

We're turning to Kickstarter to gather funds so we can devote as much time to this project as possible! We're just two guys working on this and we want to put our other current projects and commissions on hold and devote our time to this project. We've gotten most of the way through the first deck (CR 0 - 3) already, but this is a big project. The more we raise, the more time we can spend making this a reality.

Legal Note
All of the monsters in the deck are available under the OGL.
Risks and challenges
By choosing to use Drivethru for fulfillment, we have taken a lot of the burden off of ourselves. They will handle all printing and shipping for us. The only real difficulty on our end is finishing all of the art and making the cards. We can produce the Core Four decks by January 2019 and if we raise enough funds to unlock the 5 stretch goals, we'll have plenty of time to devote to this project to make sure those decks are done by July 2019. We intend to work on the decks in order and release each one as soon as it's finished.
Real world problems could cause delays, but we both have good jobs and pretty stable lives. We don't foresee any problems and, if there are, we have friends who can step in and take over the project for us.
That said, this is our first RPG release, but we're not without experience. Ben has a great deal of design and publishing experience while creating textbooks for his language school, so he's familiar with the publishing industry. And Mikoarc has been a freelance artist for many years. Plus, by using Drivethru, almost all of the headaches associated with publishing go away so I'm pretty confident we can make this happen.
