Two bands and two labels whose sole purpose is the expression of iconoclastic black art join together in a trans-Pacific partnership to present their latest aural artifact—a split 7” documenting their wanderings in the crepuscular corridors of being. Drawing from Western and Eastern esoteric traditions respectively, Bleakwood and Ekadzati apply the force of sound as a skillful means to guide and challenge the listener into liminal states and dark dreams. Their efforts move in counterpoint, nudging the listener through ravenous motion, crawling melodic stasis, dizzy rhythmic stuttering . . .
The A side showcases Bleakwood’s track, a re-recording of the standout cut from a long-sold-out 2008 demo, executed with an elevated level of discipline, aggression, and attention to detail. Correspondingly, it manifests far more clearly the raison d'être of the composition. Ekadzati’s track follows on the B side, marking a compositional progression from earlier demo material, while still referencing the wrathful nature of the project’s earlier incarnations. The piece features the contributions of bass virtuoso H. Lauer (Ironwood, Greed & Rapacity), as well as a guest drum performance from D. Nahum of Bleakwood/Greed & Rapacity/The Veil.
With your support, Milam Records (US) and Tactical Solutions Recordings (AUS) will press these works to 250 pieces of pitch-black vinyl. These will be sheathed in art and packaging produced by Zareen: a unique “wingfold” sleeve, held fast by an obi strip bearing the bands’ logos. The obi strips will be available in five randomly distributed colors. While this is material that will reward the analog listener, the record will also feature a digital download that is only being made available to supporters of this Kickstarter project and physical purchasers. There will be no stand-alone digital download available outside of Kickstarter!
And what do you stand to gain from backing this pressing? Have a look . . .

Thanks for your support.
Risks and challenges
All music and art is ready to go to press, so we anticipate few obstacles to the completion of this project. It is important to keep in mind, however, that vinyl pressing is a notoriously tricky process. So, while we will do our utmost to ensure your rewards are received in a timely manner, please be aware that vinyl rewards may be subject to some delay should anything go amiss at the pressing plant.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
