About this project
We're thrilled to have reached our Kickstarter goal and hope to raise even more funds in the remaining days of the campaign to sustain this project. Please continue to help us push forward... every penny counts!
The Wise Routes Project is designing a new model for self-guided, exploratory learning, and developing a “moving curriculum” that provides a framework for individuals or peer groups to build and self-facilitate learning experiences from the world around them.
After a summer of traveling through the Pacific Northwest by bicycle to develop the project, we will self-publish, market, and distribute a book that shares our method and process of self-designing a learning journey. We will combine examples from our own journey with adaptable readings, routes, resources, questions, case studies, activities, ideas and reflections such that any traveler could use our book to pull a deeper educational experience from their own self-guided adventure.
Through this pilot project, we hope to develop a framework that enables more people to build for themselves an education that is indistinguishable from living life curiously.
Your donations will contribute to the success of our research trip, as well as the design, printing and distribution costs of the book later this year. We can't do it without you! Thank you for your support and we look forward to working with you to bring more wisdom to our routes!
