Video: Turn your Tacticlip into an oil lamp - 🕯

Greetings Tacticlip® fans,

Here's a creative hack:

Using the cleverly placed hole in the Tacticlip®, you can turn your tactical hair clip into an oil lamp. Here's how to do it, or watch the video below:

  • First thread a small string (6 inches will do) through the little hole in the Tacticlip®
  • Then soak the bottom end of the string in olive oil (1/4" will do)
  • Once you light the string's tip, which is sticking out of the little hole, the olive oil 'fuel' will be drawn up and consumed by the flame.

I just did this last night as a part of a test (we test and re-test a lot). The flame was still burning after 20 minutes.

Here's the video demonstrating how I use the "wick holder" function on the Tacticlip®:

Do note: Your Tacticlip's finish may have some cosmetic blemishes after you essentially light it on fire. Most things do. But it will still function just fine.

Improve / Overcome / Adapt

This seemingly normal hair clip keeps getting cooler, doesn't it?

All the best,
