The new MapForge website and Store has launched!
About the new MapForge Website and Store
Have a look at the new site. It has two main parts:
One is about the MapForge application itself, broken down into logical sections (Overview, Features, Screenshots, System Requirements, Licenses, and Downloads). There's also a News & Updates page, which provides a summary of key developments and links to more information about each one.
The rest of the site is a multi-vendor Store, where you can browse the 50 Add-Ons to see more information about each Add-On, see preview images, and get a full inventory of the Add-On's contents. You can browse the Store by vendor (e.g. Heroic Maps, Gabriel Pickard, etc.), or by product categories (for example, you might want to see just the Add-Ons that allow for commercial use and publishing, or just the free Add-Ons).
There are various useful features, such as a Wishlist, where you can place items that you're interested in getting at some later date. There's a search field for finding things quickly when you're interested in a particular topic (e.g. "modern", "zombie", etc.). Users who purchase a particular product will be able to leave a Review of that product. You can also register on the site, which will make subsequent purchases easier and faster.
Anyway, I hope you like the new site and find the information provided useful. Note that many of the product preview pics are temporary placeholders (sometimes they reference printed products or PNG collections), but they will eventually be updated with better images.
If you find any broken links, have problems with the Store, find erroneous information, or whatever, just let me know in the Comments or email me using the Contact page on the site.
In other news...
On an unrelated note, expect MapForge v1.0.3 later this week. In addition to bug fixes, it will feature an important performance increase for the most common editing operations, and will hopefully run properly for everyone using Mac OS X High Sierra.
