Workaround if the MapForge prototype won't run for you in Mac OS X Sierra
If you can't launch the prototype under Mac OS X Sierra without being prompted to find "missing" files and seeing a bunch of script errors, read on for instructions for a workaround that should allow the prototype to work properly. If this is not happening to you, feel free to skip this entire Update.
There is an issue with the new Gatekeeper feature in Sierra that requires apps to be signed (even apps not distributed via the Mac App Store). The temporary workaround to get it running on Sierra involves removing the app from quarantine.
Launch Terminal and run this command:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /PathToMapForgeApp/MapForge.app
(substituting the ACTUAL path, of course; if you need help with this, let me know in the Comments or message me)
You should now be able to launch and use the MapForge prototype without any file warnings or script errors at all.
The Terminal command fixes the issue for now, but it's a stopgap fix. Once I can figure out the code signing part, that should provide the long term fix. Hopefully I can get this sorted out before the next prototype is ready for release.
