About

Actual cover of Pulp Fantastic.
Actual cover of Pulp Fantastic.

Welcome to the age of the Pulps, where two-fisted action heroes and secret societies battle for control of the destiny of mankind! This book originally was designed as a Vortex system game. It is currently out of print. This book makes use of new 5e material from Ken Spencer and totally updated and edited material from that original.

Pulp Fantastic takes you to the past as it should have been; an era of science heroes, masked avengers, mystery men and mad scientists. Nefarious villains and strange creatures cast their twisted shadow over civilization from their lairs in exotic locations. New and terrible technologies mix with forbidden knowledge in the hands of madmen, megalomaniacs and the rising Nazi menace!

Pulp Fantastic is the first in a series of pulp adventure sourcebooks from Battlefield Press, written by Chris Halliday (The Dinosaur Protocol), Chris Helton (Pulp Fantasy, Pulp Fantastic, Paranormal Friction), Jon Nichols (Pulp Fantasy, Pulp Fantastic), Ken Spencer (Rocket Age, Lone Wolf) and Jonathan M. Thompson (Robotech Macross Savage Worlds, The Dinosaur Protocol, Pulp Fantastic, Gaslight Victorian Fantasy), and featuring original fiction by Jon Nichols.

All backers will receive a copy of the raw alpha rules text as soon as it becomes available. This way you can begin to use your new setting as quickly as possible.

Risks and challenges

The estimated delivery date is intended to serve as our hope as to when you will receive rewards. Setbacks are possible with any project. Like other projects of this type, this project is not without risks. Delays can happen, as we are only human. We will keep in contact with you concerning potential delays and such. The biggest possible delay will come from any stretch goals that we may include. The risk of delay happens anytime you put control in the hands of another person, who has their own issues they must deal with as well.
