We are third year Cinema and Photography students from the University of Leeds. We have decided to produce a 15 minute short film for our final year cinema project... and we want to go out with a bang.

To introduce the project, check our mysterious location-focused trailer and read a short synopsis. First, our roles:

Directed by Danny Robertson

Produced by Becky Webb

Cinematography by Christian Geldart

Sound and Film Editing by Matt Bowles

Following a revolution, an ageing soldier known only as ‘Bastion’ is stationed in the wilderness as the remainder of his people flee from the violent, revolutionary tribe ‘EO’ who advance towards him. His mission is to wait for their arrival and destroy them. The mission is going smoothly until a young boy emerges from the wilderness...

We knew early on that we wanted to embark on an ambitious project but we always strived to keep our focus realistic. We're hoping to nicely contrast a huge context and backstory with an intimate central story between two characters.

Once we reach our funding goal, we'll start posting updates to keep our backers up to date with our work.

Thanks so much for reading!

Risks and challenges

It's a film production - it ain't easy. There are so many challenges along the way. We've done this for a while now and we are confident that we can overcome challenges and make a great film.

At present, our budget stands at £0. Ahead of us are location fees, travel, costumes, props, food, equipment booking and a screening.

Any donation would be hugely appreciated by the four of us. We're working to a micro-budget but at the same time we want to make a great piece of work.
