Flens - The first flashlight booster for smartphones

"F.lens" is a new kind of smartphone accessory, aimed at boosting the usability of smartphones' internal LED flashlights. With F.lens, new possibilities open up for smartphone flashes, making them usable for safer night hikes, walks, inspections, emergencies and way more situations.
Because the LED light integrated into smartphones is the most used flashlight in the world: it's always with you and it always works. Unfortunately it's also the less useful, because it's not engineered to light up distant objects.
F.lens collects the light emitted by a smartphone's integrated LED, and generates a tighter, brighter beam able to light up distant objects, metres and metres away.
F.lens is removable, because it sticks magnetically! Small rear magnets and a small round washer keep it connected on top of your smartphone's LED light.
F.lens is specifically engineered for all flash-equipped Apple devices - even with original and third party covers with a rear thickness of 2.2mm (0.087in) or less. F.lens is also compatible with selected Android and Windows Phone devices.
The lens is pure, scratch-proof glass, not plastic! It's enclosed into a sandblasted aluminum body, and attaches on top of your phone's flash by tiny, powerful neodymium magnets.
F.lens is very easy to use: it's designed for everyone who wishes for a better, more useful phone flashlight. And it makes for a perfect gift!
You can also use F.lens to help your phone's camera to shoot photos and videos in total darkness, especially when the subjects are metres, metres away. And it's so small that it doesn't obstruct the camera.
A small lanyard is included in every F.lens package. It makes a perfect fit for your key-ring. It will be your everyday carry flashlight!
All you need to get started! Each F.lens comes with one key-ring lanyard and two* adhesive rings to apply to your phone.
* (1x round ring, for iPhone 6 style and generic Android round flashes + 1x oval ring, for iPhone 5 style oval flashes)

THE PRODUCT WORKS!
We are long-time followers here on Kickstarter, and we know very well that the first thing to do in order tu run a successful, honest campaign is to start with a well engineered product. We've spent countless days - and nights - testing various iterations of Flens, and the final version is robust, delightfully finished and gathers the light rays very, very efficiently.

THIS IS NOT OUR FIRST KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN!
In 2015 we, founders, ran a very successful KS campaign in UK (link: http://kck.st/1LqmXpt) that raised more than £54,000 for a complex, professional photographic lamp called "The Relio".
We succeeded in delivering all the goods, with great customers' feedback.

It was a fun and insightful adventure, and you'll find Flens to be a step forward in terms of materials, machining precision and ease of use.
## OPEN RISKS AND CHALLENGES ##
Due to all of the advanced research and engineering, this will now be a straightforward product to manufacture, with no -or little- manufacturing risks in terms of production.
Everything is planned to avoid using complex assembling tools, and suppliers have gone throughout rigid validations to ensure timely and quality supplies of parts.
As a result, Flens should be able to scale 10x+ above projected target orders without getting into any logistic difficulties.
Unforeseen events sometimes happen, but what makes the difference is good attitude and knowledge, and we (try to) have both!
As we always say, there’s little that goes wrong, and even if goes wrong, that will not stop us.
We've tried to do everything in advance before starting the campaign, so we've a lot of expertise and a lot of experience in developing the product.
We've done everything possible to give you, our customers, our supporters, the best product and the best support possible.
