What if a self-help book didn't claim to have all the answers? What if instead, it gave you questions to guide you on your own path?
I believe everyone has their own definition of happiness, so why should there be only one set of answers or one set of rules for everyone? After finding my own way through depression, divorce, bankruptcy, alcoholism and attempted suicide, it's my mission, my goal and my purpose to lead others out of their own personal darkness into health, wellness, and happiness - whatever that may mean for them.
During my recovery, my redemption, and my re-invention, I had to answer a lot of questions. No Easy Answers is those questions, my story, and more. It's the culmination of many years of reading, studying, and learning "the hard way." Unlike other self-help books, you won't get any "laws" or "rules" or "secrets." What you will get are thought-provoking questions intended to help you find your own answers. No matter where you are in life, no matter what you're going through or where you want to be, I know you'll find something in No Easy Answers to inspire you.
However, publishing a book costs money, even in the age of DIY self-publishing. I need your help to get No Easy Answers published in print and ebook format. Your pledge will help cover the costs of copyediting, cover design, artwork, marketing, and finally... publishing and distribution. Your pledge can turn No Easy Answers from a file on my laptop into a book that could change someone's life!
Please help me reach as many people as possible with my message of hope, healing, and happiness by backing No Easy Answers today!
In addition to helping others through my writing, once the book is published, I'm also going to donate a percentage of the profits from book sales to Appalachia Service Project. Appalachia Service Project is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair in Central Appalachia. It's vision is that substandard housing in Central Appalachia will be eradicated and that everyone who comes into contact with this ministry will be transformed. I personally worked with ASP this summer, and I it was a life-changing experience for me, for the youth group that I led, and for the families we helped.

Risks and challenges
The main risks and challenges that come with completing this project are with the final editing and distribution. I want to make sure I get the book edited to look professional and get the finished books to my backers before my deadline. How long will the copyediting take? When will I be able to ship the physical books to my backers?
To address these concerns, I have a dedicated support representative at createspace.com who's already helped me create the budget for this project and given me a time frame for publishing and distribution. I'll be sending the manuscript for copyediting before the end of this Kickstarter campaign, so once it's funded, I can start ordering copies of the book to autograph and ship to my backers. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns you may have before backing this project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
