Project Update #1

Hey everyone!

First of all THANK YOU to all of the backers so far!

We are 12 days into our project and have raised just over $3000, encouraging but still a ways to go.

We are hard at work trying to spread the word about our project and have recently had some success with coverage in a couple of architecture blogs:

Last week we were hard at work doing what we can on our building with the few left-over materials we have from previous projects. We split into teams and worked on the structure for the top of our lantern, the steel columns that hold up that structure, and mock-ups for the concrete foundation formwork. Yeah, seems a bit odd to work first on the very top and the very bottom of the building, but we are utilizing the materials that we do have. There are some photos of what we did on our blog:

Please continue to share the project with friends, family and others you think may be interested in this unique project. We are very enthusiastic and eager to make this project a reality and your participation is what makes that possible!

Thanks again!
