As You Like It is one of Shakespeare's most beloved plays. Bare Theatre’s Artistic Director Heather J. Strickland transports the passions of the forest lords, the Dukes, and the beautifully headstrong Rosiland into the woods of Appalachia. Taking place in the open air of Raleigh Little Theatre’s outdoor stage by the Rose Garden, the show is both music festival and theatrical spectacle. It features live original music by Greensboro old-time band, The Zinc Kings.
Here's the music video & official web trailer for As You Like It, "Under the Greenwood Tree," performed by The Zinc Kings:
Treat yourself to a summer evening under the stars with live music, theater, a picnic, local food trucks, and much more! Sip a beer or wine from the concessions stand, sit back, and enjoy the comedy and the music. This family-friendly show will make you laugh and get your toe tappin'!
This event can only happen with YOUR support. Your contribution will help to pay for production costs including building a set that will suggest the mountains of Appalachia, as well as rental of audio equipment (headset microphones, amplifiers, sound board).
Everyone who gives at least $15 will receive a ticket to any single performance.
IF YOU WANT MORE THAN ONE TICKET, simply contribute a multiple of $15 and select the $15 (GROUNDLING) Reward. You'll get that number of tickets! Higher contribution levels allow you to receive a host of other great gifts, such as a CD copy of The Zinc Kings' original record of As You Like It.

Risks and challenges
The main challenge for any outdoor production is the weather. We can't control it, but we can plan for it.
We've performed outdoors several times in the past, and the best thing to do is count on it raining. We expect that we won't be able to perform every day on the schedule - that's why we've got rain dates on August 25 for the first weekend, and September 1 for the second weekend.
We've planned on the weather - so should you! Your ticket that you receive with your contribution is good for ANY of our performances, so plan a back-up date (or two) in case your first choice rains out.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
