About

Jumble is the ultimate word search mashup that allows you to play in 5 Languages including English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.  Each game is a unique experience challenging players to find combinations of colors, shapes, and words.  Double and triple up to score higher and spawn rare gems!

The game board is a 64 X 64 grid that will auto spawn once a player has scored a match. The game will give you goals that will allow you to add time to the game and let you score higher!

New pieces drop in after the player completes a score.  Certain scores will spawn rare gems that each do unique things on the board.

Connect at least 3 gems to score.  If you find a word that is also a circle and blue, your score will be 3X higher.  If it is a circle that is blue, you will get double the score.

The inventory system allows you to save, store, and use pieces any time you want.  Simply drag the piece to the inventory slot and it saves there.  Even if you quit the game, the next time you play it will be waiting for you.

The player screen keeps track of every word you found in each language.  Each language has its own inventory and keeps track of your last 25 scores as well as your progress in the language and a little information on how you play the game.

The demo is web based and is not as full featured as the final game (mostly due to the restrictions of the game engine it was built on).  It works best with Firefox and I have had some limited success with Chrome and Safari. You can play it in English.  It will not save any stats or progress, but everything else is in perfect working order.

The costs of establishing a business and going through the software approval process with many of these distributors is not insignificant. Reaching the initial goal of $7,500 will cover these costs and other miscellaneous expenses such as advertising costs. Anything over will also be used to expand the reach of the game and get it into as many player's hands as possible.

Anyone who signs up for our newsletter is automatically entered into a contest for a free copy of Jumbler on release day! 

The goal is for a full release by April 2019 or at the very latest by June of 2019 on Steam.  It will be available in Windows and MacOSX.

Past that, by the middle of 2019, it should be fully available on iOS and Andriod operating systems.  The goal is to create a version for both tablets and mobile phones.

Risks and challenges

The core gameplay and mechanics are fully implemented and most of the art is in its final form. Overall, the game is about 99% ready in its current state. None of the art in this page is conceptual. The screenshots and video are all directly out of the latest build of the game. The biggest undertakings are the discovery and removal of bugs within the game. This has already been underway for quite some time and most of the initial bugs have been solved.

Reaching the goal of $5,000 will help development push past its final hurdles as we push towards release. The game itself was developed in Unity over the last few years.

The main developer works full time as a Unity developer, creating VR and AR experiences as well as iOS applications. This is his 5th full project from scratch using Unity and his first full independent release. Whether or not this kickstarter gets funded, Jumble will be finished and released. This kickstarter will help it get there faster. The money from this campaign will go into the last few expenses that will make this possible to release sooner.
