Upon the completion of the Kickstarter campaign; initial production sampling, testing and quality assurance, takes around 30 days. The full production run, assembly and packaging, another 30 days. Finally sea freight and delivery to our warehouse, another 30 days. We aim to have all bakslap orders in the hands of our backers by late November 2018. We will be providing regular updates throughout this exciting next phase, thanks to you!
The initial idea for bakslap was born in early 2015, countless hours were spent on R&D and six iterations of the product later, the bakslap was created. Our process was developed using user-centered design principles, working with the expertise of two industrial designers and our manufacturing partner to help us create an extraordinary end product.

Risks and challenges
A successfully funded Kickstarter campaign will finance the first production run of bakslap. We have established a go-to-market strategy that includes initial retailers and distributers both in Australia and internationally.
Our manufacturers (product, packaging, accessories) have already been sourced and the product tooling process has already commenced.
A full risk analysis has been conducted to assess all risks associated with this project. Strict mitigation and contingency plans have been put in place.
Our four-member voluntary advisor board between them have 70 years’ experience in business. They are experts in manufacturing, distribution, governance and international brand development.
Changing perceptions is also a key challenge for our brand. Educating and raising awareness around melanoma cancer and the risks associated through exposure to the sun when outdoors is our priority.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
