So, what's all this fuss about?
Bad Roll Games is a small Spanish company formed up by three friends, that has been working for more than three years on the addictive tabletop game Punkapocalyptic. During this time we have put on the market several high-quality and detailed miniatures for our first four factions, Gangers, Mutards, Junkers and Black Blood Children. For this last one faction we ran a highly successful KS campaign in which we got three times the amount needed and was chosen by readers and followers as the Best 2015 Crowdfunding Campaign at the FanHammer hobby blog.
Basically our game is a fast-paced skirmish showdown between rival gangs, played with 5 to 10 30 mm scale miniatures in a post-apocalyptic, barren and desolate environment known as the Wasteland. If you are into skirmish games, wargames in general, apocalyptic settings or just like to paint superb minis made by some of the best sculptors in the market these days, this game is for you. Don't hesitate to visit our website to know more about the background of this setting, read a bunch of short stories, watch some cool drawings and maps, or feast your eyes with the miniature galleries.
Why a crowdfunding campaign?
A crowdfunding campaign like this will allow us to release a whole new band, the V Reich, for our game all at once. That way we will have five basic playable factions for our rulebook.
We can wholeheartedly promise that this crowdfunding will be a true crowdfunding. This is not a pre-sale for miniatures we already have in production, or anything like that. All the money will be used to pay for modelling, production, painting… so this fifth faction can become a reality.
We can show you some of the 3D designs for the miniatures in advance, so you can see what they will look like; for the rest we can show you concept drawings of what we want them to be. But we are not newcomers to this market either, so you can check the miniatures we have released so far and see for yourselves that the final result is completely up to the expectations or even beyond. We are lucky to have GT Studio in charge of the computer renders, and for the production and painting processes we work with the internationally known José Palomares' Bigchild Creatives team.
Nice, but why should I put my money on it?
We are offering the V Reich miniatures at a special price for trusting us, as well as an exclusive optional head for the Marshall. But besides, in case you didn't know us from before, you will be able to get any miniature from our catalogue at a discounted price. And once we reach our main target you will continue to unlock some juicy extras, most of which you will be getting for free with most of the pledge levels, starting with the naughty Ilsa, special character for the faction.
The bulk of this money will be used to pay for the modelling, production and painting processes. And if we get more money pass the minimum, it will be invested in unlockable goodies. If at the end we still have any remaining cash available, it would be spent to keep Punkapocalyptic growing and moving forward with new products.
Who are the V Reich?
No one knows exactly who stablished the V Reich operating around the Scrapbridge area, but they undoubtedly were some folks who found a heavy load of 20th century History books and they clearly lost control of their grip with all the national-socialist regalia linked with the European fascist regimes from the 30s and 40s. Staying away from the anarch-punk attitude and looks of the regular gangers, this person or persons founded a highly-militarized, organized and hierarchical organization, stocking loads of military apparel in a fortresslike settlement they baptized as Festung Germania. As the books that survived from the World of Before stated very old dates, and doubting if there had been another Reich after the Third they had read so much about, they decided to name the new organization as the Fifth Reich, just in case.
In spite of their grand ideals, not so long ago this group was a bunch of losers who got asskicked by any other faction around. But in a twist of fate two random events turned the tide. In a military bunker they found some old cryogenic chambers with genetically enhanced soldiers ready for war, stronger and less inteligent than the average band member, who immediately became the elite shock troops of the Reich. And during a rutinary mission in search of supplies, a patrol found a trapdoor hidden under the rubble of a mansion from the World of Before. It led to the personal private museum of Edward Berhart, World War II collector and enthusiast, with hundreds of original uniforms and weapons which were an ideal stock for this faction.
The basic principles of the V Reich are a deep hate towards mutants, whom they consider animals unworthy of sharing the same land as humans, as well as some kind of fatalistic doomsday cult, as they think that the true end of the World is yet to come and they must get ready for it. That said, you need to know that as long as you don’t have extra limbs, scales, tail or some weird-ass mutation, the V Reich will receive you with open arms no matter your gender, race or religion: women, latinos, jews and black people fill the ranks of this organization, which is currently ruled by a midget, Führer Aaron Schwartzman.
Disclaimer: the V Reich is a post-apocalyptic multi-ethnical faction of misled fanatics who hate mutants and follow a midget leader called Schwartzman (Black Man), in a game with a heavy dark sense of humor. We follow a line of alternative "nazis" such as in movies like Hellboy, Iron Sky, Dead Snow or Kung Fury, videogames like Wolfenstein or the Metro novels. There are plenty of miniature games in which you can play factions of dubious morality. Playing Chaos armies in Warhammer Fantasy doesn't mean you support drinking blood and slaughtering innocents. This is fiction, and everyone should understand that.
All designing, modeling and production processes will be carried out in Spain with the best materials and professionals available. Final production will be made in the same High Quality Resin we used for the Black Blood Children faction in our last KS campaign, provided again by BigChild Creatives. Although miniatures are sold unassembled and unpainted, we will also use the money to have them painted at pro level for our own use (ie. promotional pictures, advertising and model packaging).

Let's get down to it!
You want to see the models we want to fund, and see them you shall! The first two of them have already been 3D designed by the awesome team at GT Studio.
The Soldat will come with 4 different arms so you can assemble it to your liking, one of them with a mastiff.
The rest of the basic miniatures for this faction are still in early sketch stage, but GT Studio is ready to convert them to 3D renders and send them to BigChild Creatives for the mass resin casting. So what you see in this drawings will become the final miniature you will get in your hands, as we have always done!
Besides, all of you who pledge in a level with access to it will get the exclusive alternative head for the Marshall, which will not be available when the miniature reaches the stores.

And for 8 €, a smart Junker with rifle.

So don't be shy and spread the word, tell your friends, rob your grandma and scrap your wallet off your last one penny!
14.000 € Stretch goal - Free Ilse, She-wolf of the V Reich
Hit the € 14.000 mark and you will get a whole new miniature for FREE! All pledge levels with access to the unlockable extras will receive the fearsome She-wolf of the V Reich. This miniature will be a Special Character for the game with its own special rules.
16.000 € Stretch goal - Add-on Captain Hammerica miniature
Captain Hammerica roams the Wasteland helping the weak and undoing wrongs, as he sees himself as a paladin of justice. Yeah, he is probably nuts. But when the €16.000 goal is met, it will be unlocked as an add-on for anyone through the "Rummagin' through trash" pledge level for . Can you get cooler than that?
17.000 € Stretch goal - Free V Reich Pulpit 3D print file
If we get to 17000 €, all backers with access to unlocked extras will get the .STL file to print in a 3D printer this spectacular (and big, 10-12" high and 5" wide) V Reich Pulpit made by Thunder Chrome. Pay them a visit, because they have really cool scenery fully compatible with Punkapocalyptic.
18.000 € Stretch goal - Free Ubersoldat miniature
By reaching 18000 euros all pledge levels with access to the unlockable extras will receive an Ubersoldat with Heavy blade for FREE. Because shooting is fine, but busting faces at close range is more satisfying.
19.000 € Stretch goal - Free Hands for Medic and Soldat
If we reach the 19000 € you will get for free an extra hand with Pistol for the Medic (to substitute the one holding the severed arm) and an extra hand with Pistol for the Soldat with mastiff (substituting the one with the Small blade). You will now have a hell of a lot of options to equip your V Reich troops.
20.000 € Stretch goal - Add-on Dynamo with vaporeta miniature
The vaporeta is the only weapon in the whole rules without a miniature to represent it. About time we righted that wrong. By crossing the 20000 € barrier you will unlock a Junker Dynamo with vaporeta, which can be added to any pledge for 8 €.
22.000 € Stretch goal - Free Subhuman miniature
If you raise the campaign up to 22000 euros, all pledge levels with access to unlocked extras will receive a new Subhuman for FREE. Because these wretchs need to be unleashed in numbers to do something.
25.000 € Stretch goal - Free Aaron Schwartzman miniature
Leading the V Reich is its main ideologue and founder, Aaron Schwartzman. He prefers not to get personally involved in combat, being a midget in the ruthless Wasteland and having plenty of followers to die for him, but sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do. When you reach 25000 euros all pledge levels with access to unlocked extras will get for FREE Aaron Schwartzman, riding his Great Dane "Benito".
Social goal - Free alternative head for soldat
Now you can help make the V Reich campaign more interesting. We open a Social Goal (and it won't be the only one) to include an extra head for the Soldat with Mastiff already funded. Yes, free with the miniature, which will now have two heads to choose from.
To achieve this goal, the linked Facebook publication must be shared 75 times. That simple.
Social goal - Red Helmet rules
Captain Hammerica needs a rival to match him. If we get 25 new likers in our Facebook Punkapocalyptic page from now to the end of the campaign, Red Helmet will have his own special rules as a V Reich personality leading the shadowy Kraken organization. Hail Kraken!
Are you sure this is how the final product will look?
Quite sure, my dear friend! As we have previously said, last year we ran a successful campaign on KS for the Black Blood Children faction where we also showed only early sketches and concepts for the miniatures, and the final production items where perfect matches for them! But you don't have to take our word! Just see it for yourselves!
About the dreaded shipping costs
All packages will be shipped from Spain, by signed for mail and with tracking number. Shipment costs will be calculated after the campaign ends to know exactly the weight and volume of the material to be sent, and will be paid for during the Pledge Manager process. In our past experience, you can expect some figures around these:
Spain: 5 €
European Union: 9 €
Rest of the World: 13 €
To keep these shipping costs to a minimum, all miniatures, extras, bases, markers or anything else included in this campaign will be sent to our backers WITHOUT any type of blister or box that could increase them due to its bulk or additional weight. If you want to receive your goodies in their proper box or packaging, please tell us so at the end of the campaign, but be aware that you will have to pay for the additional handling and shipping costs.
Risks and challenges
Our previous work backs us up. Last year we ran another crowdfunding campaign with great success and all our backers were utterly satisfied. We are a firm working on the miniature market for several years now and those companies we collaborate with deserve our greatest trust.
Our aim is to be able to serve all the miniatures, items and extras unlocked in this campaign within a deadline of six months time from its end. That is, we expect you to have all your nice goodies for April next year. We have deliberately set quite a generous deadline for this project to compensate any unforeseen mishap, but being honest, if everything goes as expected we hope to deliver all the stuff even sooner.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
