Sell Outs - The Party Game Of Insane Sales Pitches
The game of quick wits, long laughs, and capitalism! Listen to the problems of your friends, and sell them creative solutions!
Sell Outs by Bad Kerning LLC
What is Sell Outs?
Sell Outs is a tabletop card game about solving curious problems with absurd creative solutions! This turn-based game is best with 3-7 players, but can be played with more.
Sell Outs is different from other card based games because it asks you to explain your choice, think creatively about your solutions, and figure out new ways to interpret cards. The standard rules allow for hundreds of millions of combinations of cards, but the freedom to reinterpret your cards as you see fit means the possibilities are nearly endless!
Playing Sell Outs is quite simple. Each round, one player, designated as the customer, draws and reads a problem card aloud to the other players. Every other player chooses one product and one feature from their hand (which they think will solve their problem) as well as a random feature from the draw pile, placing them on the table. Starting with the player to the customer’s left, that player tries to pitch their product to solve the customer’s problem. The random feature will be flipped over partway through your pitch for a little twist!
Once all pitches are complete, the customer chooses the product that best solved their problem. The player to the customer’s left becomes the new customer, and play continues until everyone has been the customer three times. After that, the player with the most collected problems wins!

For this project, we are asking for $15,000. This is our minimum goal to make sure we can accomplish everything we need to provide you with a polished final product to bring you some great laughs. We want to print 1000 copies for our first run. The breakdown of our goal is below:
About UsSean is an avid tabletop gamer who came up with the idea for Sell Outs while playing a game of Pretend You’re Xyzzy (Cards Against Humanity online) with a new group of friends that knew each other very well. He had the idea to make a party game that would be less prone to inside jokes and biases.
With the help of some friends, and about a year’s worth of work, we were led to the creation of Sell Outs and the formation of our tabletop game company, Bad Kerning LLC. During that time, we have also come up with a few other tabletop game ideas that we would love to work on. We are hoping for success on this project that would allow us to develop and publish our new ideas in the future.

Questions or Concerns?
Risks and challenges
The biggest risks we face are in regards to not being able to fulfill the project rewards. Failing to fulfill our obligations to you as a backer would result in losing the public trust, which is something we have no intention of doing. It is our solemn pledge to fulfill our obligations to our backers, even at our own personal expenses. Our end goal is to run a community based company, and it is not our wish to sully our reputation with anyone who might be a part of our community.
The challenges set before us are great. We are just two people with little experience in the way of fulfillment, logistics, or distribution, but we have contacts and are in the process of building relationships with people who have plenty of experience. We are also heavily invested in this project, and we have put a great deal of effort into learning everything we can to achieve our goals. We have poured ourselves into Sell Outs, and learned so much so far just to get to where we are with this project. We have no doubt that we'll be able to overcome the rest of the challenges we face to reach our goal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
