Our coffee has just enough caffeine to make you forget you’re having Type Three Fun. (Type Three Fun: n. Not so fun until it's done.) When you find yourself in the great outdoors, you should have a can of cold-brew on hand.
Backcountry Nitro is an organic cold-brew coffee company that is inspired by our rowdy group of adventurous friends.
We believe that every good excursion should start with a tasty and healthy beverage, so we canned some just for you! Beyond the bold tasting brew, our coffee kickstarts your adventure with a boost of vitamin-rich antioxidants that give you energy and promote overall wellbeing. While some say our coffee is already as smooth as the dickens, nitrogen makes it even smoother. (Think sexy Guinness pour.) Get ready to chug this tasty and healthy ready-to-go can that will give you that final push to the summit! Female-owned and operated, we are a team of lady Boulderites who craved a healthy beverage to fit our rambunctious and coffee-loving lifestyle.
Jenny Verrochi, has been slinging coffee since ‘97 in New England with her family business, Red Barn Coffee Roasters. Shortly after moving west, she combined her coffee knowledge with her love for the outdoors, and began perfecting the BCN recipe. Her concept was coming to life and all she sought was the perfect Partner in Sass. Queue: Alyssa Evans, best friend / branding and packaging genius. Alyssa has designed for brands such as Horizon Organic, Silk Milk, and Stōk Cold-Brew. With their powers combined, they birthed one hell of a cheeky and adventurous coffee.
We want to keep our winters as cold as our brew.

Risks and challenges
We are incredibly proud of our product and our manufacturer. We have nothing but confidence that we will provide what we say, when we say it. But sometimes, $h!t happens! A back up with our printing and canning supply source can cause a delay in our order, while new products linger on the horizon when we don't have enough money to fund them. (We've got two new flavors on deck!) Our ingredients are fresh, which means we have to keep these Bad Larry's as cold as Santa's underbelly. Refrigerated distribution is another challenge we're about to face. We will solve that by being shelf-stable by the end of 2019.
It’s imperative to us that we are dialed in every aspect of this business. We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality ingredients, delicious products, all served in a timely manner.
Listen, we know there is a million cold-brew coffees out there. We aren’t going to brag and tell you that we blow your tastebuds into oblivion because of how smooth our coffee is. We won't tell you that you’ll never want to put milk in your coffee again because the nitrogen will make you appreciate the deep dark bod of this brew.
