Forrest Bower here,
Seven years ago, in my tiny apartment with my crummy laptop, I started Bower's Game Corner, a hobby game review channel on YouTube. Since then I have recruited Eric Baca to work the behind-the-scenes action and we have now released well over a thousand videos reviewing, and covering old games, new games, classics, stinkers and everything in between. We release a new review every day or two in addition to Learn to Plays, Kickstarter game re/previews, game plays, Top 10 lists, and the occasional vlog.
Last year we successfully completed a similar project to shoot over 130 unique videos centered around our time at Gen con 2018. We filmed previews, full-length game sessions, first impressions of new releases, Top 10 lists, events, one-on-one interviews, and daily recaps. During the five days we walked, talked, filmed, edited, and posted videos and, most importantly, played games. It was an amazing experience that was both rewarding and exhausting.
Gen Con is the longest-running, best-attended gaming convention in the world and we are hoping to once again bring the excitement of the convention to those of you won't be among the 70,000+ people in attendance.
WHAT WE WANT TO DO
Our ultimate goal is to bring over 132 pieces of Gen Con related content to your lovely eye holes! We don't plan on seeing this being a problem as we have done this the last 4 years. One again this year we are doing a lightning quick format which should get the videos to you super fast. Last year we posted over 90 videos while at Gen Con! We plan to do this by bringing on a third person again to help streamline our production process and upgrading our recording capacity, and equipment. We will be shooting pre- and post- convention Top Ten lists, previews of new releases, full-length game plays, interviews with game designers and artists, impression videos, Gen Con After Dark tours, and much more!

I've been slowly improving the production quality of my reviews over time and my hope is that if the Kickstarter does well enough I could get better lighting, or in a perfect world, a newer Ipad with better picture and more video editing options. *I shoot all my reviews currently on an Ipad Mini 3*
I also want to give a huge Shoutout to these AMAZING companies who supported us to make the Bonanza possible! Be sure to show them some love!
Risks and challenges
The biggest risks and challenges we will be facing (other than the obvious time constraints) will be flat tires, sketchy motels, Chicken Wings so hot they ruin the next day, caffeine poisoning, technological difficulties, shooting and posting videos in a sea of thousands of people, batteries dying, data loss, extreme hangovers, being tossed out, getting arrested, death, and premature balding.
On top of all of this, any and all work will be split between only three people. What could go wrong?Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
