Can you please let us know what is happening with the documentary. It has been 6 months since your last update and we would like to know where you are with the project.

I just respect and honor what you have done. Congratulations on such a wonderful project. God Bless you and all the Babushkas for your endeavors and accomplishments. God help these women...may their prayers be answered. Irena

Holly/Anne - we are all thrilled about your project, and look forward to viewing it. CONGRATULATIONS! I just had a thought the other day - and if you are open to feedback & requests, I have one for you: do you think you could include some info in your documentary on the animals/pets you encounter? The Fukushima animals have had lots of media coverage and rescue missions, but I heard nothing similar from Chernobyl. We all know of the tremendous psychological benefits from pet ownership and communion with wildlife; I am sure the Babushkas could relate :) ....Cheers!

Congratulations, Holly and Anne: Both your efforts in bringing this story to light and your success in getting others to see your vision through Kickstarter is so inspiring to me a I begin the 2nd week of my own Kickstarter campaign for FINDING KUKAN - another documentary about bringing a lost story (and a lost Oscar-winning film to light). aloha, Robin

I remember your mom well - her strength and her stories of homeland. Thank you so much for supporting the project. We'll do our best to make a great film - worthy of the strong, special Ukrainian women it features! - Holly

Holly I am gladly supporting this, and wish you all the best! My parents and my husband's were all born in Ukraine. I don't know if you'd remember my mom Stephanie (she knew your mom yrs ago), because she'd be very proud of you for doing this. Dyakuyu! Thank you!

This truely is important work. Altho i cannot help with monies i can advertise this and its need to be public this is an incredable story and the time is now maybe to give some hope to Japan as well that humans can survive these type of disasters as well as maybe it can educate the next generation to find an alternative to nuclear energy

I met many of these women writing my book "Wormwood Forest: A Natural History of Chernobyl". It is about time that someone does a documentary about them. They don't live in a radioactive zone because they have good stories to tell. But they are important stories. Fingers crossed for you to reach your goal!

This should be an amazing story to get out to the world. I'm so curious to know more about how they decided to return, if their families stay in touch and how they're surviving compared to those who were displaced? Sounds like a great story of community and "tough as nails" women never giving up. Can't wait to see it. Kicking up my initial contribution!
