Axe N Shield was created in June of 2017 in an effort to enhance the tabletop gaming experience for both players and DM's. We have been very blessed to have the support of some of the industry’s most well-known and, more importantly, well respected individuals. We are setting off on this journey in an effort to reduce our production times, while maintaining the quality of our handmade-to-order business model. We hope to be a cornerstone of the community as we endeavor to make an immersive gaming experience more readily available to all tables.
When (said with all of the optimism and faith you can shove into several bags of holding) this project is successful we will be able to exponentially increase our production output without sacrificing quality. This will be accomplished by allowing us to relocate to a larger facility, purchase and upgrade equipment that is capable of handling our ever expanding vision, and enable us to push the boundaries of anything we are capable of making today.
The Axe N Shield KS1 project is the first step in unveiling modifications to existing products, making available new product lines (Mini Flyers, Druid Wild Shapes, Custom Condition Markers, and more), opening up new customization options throughout our product lines, and adding unprecedented options for existing terrain owners.

All in rewards are special stretch goal unlocks that will be included in all pledges at the “Core Pack” level and higher. These rewards will increase in number as the campaign progresses and additional stretch goals are unlocked, thereby adding additional value to your existing pledge at no more cost to you!
As a thank you for helping us meet our funding goal AND selecting an All In pledge level, all pledges at "Core Pack" or higher can choose to have their risers customized with no grid, a laser etched square grid, or a laser etched hexagonal grid at no extra cost. All pledges at "Core Pack" or higher will also receive 3 FREE adapters, used to connect your towers together allowing customizable heights for your Risers!
We will be using two types of stretch goals during the campaign. The first will be based on total number of pledges.
We wholeheartedly believe our products can enhance every gamer's experience, the best way to do that is to get as many people possible to spread the word about the campaign.
The second set of stretch goals, which will run parallel to pledge count, will be based on total pledge amounts. We promise to provide the best possible value and utility with each different unlock and are so very excited to see just how far this campaign can reach
Throughout this campaign we hope to grow our brand through the trusted communication and high quality product fulfillment that we currently bring to all of our existing customers, regardless of your table size or sponsorship levels.
Our pledge rewards give you everything you need to bring your game to a whole new level. We also know that your game and encounters are unique and ever changing. Our add on packages will give you all of the flexibility and customization options you could hope for. Add-Ons are additional rewards that you can purchase on top of your pledge. If you wish to include an add-on to your pledge, simply add the total dollar value of the add-ons you wish to include and add that amount to your pledge.
We will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes, based on the actual costs incurred to ship. We will collect this via our pledge manager after the campaign ends. This is so we can be fair to all our backers as shipping will vary based on reward levels and add on selections.

Risks and challenges
We have worked very hard to create accurate expectations with the project goal. We have used increasing difficulty checks during the planning and budgeting phases to ensure that our skills are honed to complete this project without any surprises.
All production and finish is performed in house, so we are aware of the time frames needed to complete orders and rewards to our quality acceptance levels and have calculated these time frames into our fulfillment and delivery windows.
That being said, should the project exceed our expectations, there is the possibility of delay in sourcing materials. Should this occur, we will begin negotiating surplus availability as soon as it becomes apparent.
Please also note that should Rags get his hands on a wish spell and we shatter our funding goals, several potential changes could come into play, and will be communicated immediately as to how they will affect the rewards offerings.
The estimated delivery date for this project is December 2019, but keep in mind this is only an estimate. Also, due to the logistics of international shipping, backers in different regions of the world may receive their rewards sooner than others.
We can refund you within 14 days of the campaign’s end, fees included. After that, we have a policy of no questions asked, though that’s minus Kickstarter and payment processing fees (which we can’t get back from them after 14 days). However, if we’ve begun packaging your pledge for shipment, no refunds are possible.
All refunds are reversed via Stripe to your credit card.
This project is being funded in USD and any refunds processed will be in USD for the exact amount received in USD, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed.
