You run a multi-national conglomerate & own corporate human-resources / private defense-contractors (aka Corpz). The world economy has been centralized to key-strategic mega-cities, which can be purchased & taken over by each Player.
The more lucrative a city is, the higher its border.
It needs to be crossed to infiltrate a competitor or for migration within your realm.
Your game (and the fate of your human-ressources) is decided by the smart playing of your cards to gain control over the chance of dice. This is the strategic wit of the game: To stay in control, minimize chance & maximize the probabilities to your advantage.
To gain more control you can use the economic- & trade-capabilities (Stoxx) your cities offer you: Gold, Oil, Arms, Tech, Chem & Bio.
It gives you the opportunity to play by the game-style, that suites you most: Aggressive, Evasive, Economic or a mixture thereof.
Through the ownership of Influences like Education, Religion or the Media, you can convert the Corpz of your competitors to your noble cause (getting you richer).
While the ownership of oceans grants you access to move freely across the board.
Current news-events may influence the Status-Quo, so lucky is the one, who owns the Media & therefore the freedom to (su)press.

World-Control seeks to satirically describe all the essential mechanics of power in a flat world for 2-6 Players. While the game is more sophisticated, than your average round-based game, it is designed to suck you in step by step & it won't take you long until you understand how it all works together. Running the world will seem like the easiest job in the world to you, while you discover the pleasures of your inner, corrupt self.

World-Control has been designed as a high-quality board, where everything is in place. Cards are retractable directly from the board & a generous dice-rolling arena serves an epic gaming experience. Since this requires some more complex production-techniques, we will also offer the game in a classic cardboard box with a fold-out board, the way you are used to from regular table-top games.
The board-edition will remain limited for now, since the production thereof takes some time. So if you can't catch one of the first boards right now, don't worry, we will offer you the ability to upgrade to a better board later on, because the bank fits in every edition!

Above all is the law: Human Dignity is irrelevant! The rules of World.Control. are structured by the typical progress of a game (spree-round > growth > conflict > bankruptcy), so that you can get right into it. The game comes with an illustrated booklet to immerse you into the world of power. (it usually takes a Player around 30 minutes until they understand all of the possibilities of the game)

The board holds the property-cards, which is your way to get into the game. Either by purchase or conquest. There are 31 in total. 24 cities (in 8 major regions, which can be fused to political unions), 4 oceans & 3 influences.
There are various strategic elements to play with in World-Control, but like any well-balanced game (and life) there is also the element of chance & chaos built in. There are 3 different dice:
1 ten-sided (for movement),
3 twelve-sided (for crossing borders)
10 six-sided (max. 5 for attacking & max. 5 for defending).
The World-Control-Bank is the central power-house of the game & keeps everything in order. It emits money & control-cards, serves as the Stock-Exchange, global news-agency & cemetery for your Corpz. . . now we're talking centralized power, huh!

The global currency, the Yollo (You.Only.Let.Live.Once) is printed on bills of 10, 50, 100 & 500 billion. You can also print your own by downloading the pdf from www.world-control.net/community
There are 2 types of control-cards: Sage & General cards & they both simply show numbers. Playing a Sage-card lets you move this many fields instead of rolling the movement dice, while the General cards may be used in combat instead of one dice or to add to a rolled number when crossing a border. Get many cards & stay in control!
These chips are generated through your cities & can also be bought, sold & exchanged at the WCB or among other Players. There are 6 different Stoxx, while the red chips (Oil, Gold or Arms) can be traded for General Cards & the blue chips (Tech, Chem or Bio) can be traded for Sage cards. All Stoxx are limited to 6 chips, so there are a total of 6x6 chips in the game & they can be traded among Players. Having one of each lets you increase your Corpz.
Your human-ressources are the basis of your power. They make your cities more valuable, generate your Stoxx & can be used for combat, since they loyally support your corporate belief-system (making you richer) to the ultimate sacrifice.
Not only can use them as ground-troops, but you can also use the ones within your city to do a pre-emptive airstrike on enemy cities to make them cheaper & easier to takeover. Alternatively, you may also migrate them within your realm to secure & strengthen your under-developed cities.
If you control all the cities within the same geographical region, you form a political union, which mandates the opponent to pay, regardless of conflict & therefore grants more financial stability.
Now that you have a vision of the power that is waiting for your playing hands (regardless of size ... just not tooo tiny), how about getting the word out. We are share-, tweet-, follow-, hate- & likable on all the major social-media platforms:
We need to raise money to make at least 1000 copies, that is the minimum the company makes (at 20 a piece) & since we want it to be a quality game we have more than 20.000 to raise just to make it possible. This means at least around 400 people buying a box (We can do that!) Since everything gets easier in larger quantities, we want to pass on the benefits to you as well.
We are sure you have a distant relative, who appreciates some hateful holidays & a good game to rant about the world, or a friend who has disappeared from the radar, because those conspiracy-theories destroyed their mental-ability to still enjoy a mad world, or simply people who like to play, laugh & own a symbol of our crazy times. Buying a street for a couple hundred bucks & trying to build some more houses with the terrible danger of being mad at your aunt? That is a very cute & ancient way of looking at capitalism, while in todays world companies change hands for billions & corporate-bank failures amount to trillions in losses & leave millions of people without perspective. Today's wars do not cross borders of neighboring countries anymore, but follow an international strategy of weakening the competition & only getting in the ground-troops to collect the booty or fail in bloody conflict, if unprepared.

We live in a mad world & have to realize, that we won't get rid of inequality, corruption, stereotypes & hatred by tomorrow. All we want to offer is a box where all of that can have its place: In the safe environment of friends & family. We hope, that by making this available to everyone, we can take some steam out of our political & financial landscape & make it less of a game, than it is now. Maybe if the whole world can play WorldControl, this game ceases to be so attractive in the real world . . . maybe very idealistic

We will most likely have everything delivered to you by the inauguration of the next US-president.
We are ready & set to start production!
Our production-company promised us 8 weeks until delivery.
+ the (up to 14 days) kickstarter-transaction.
so if everything goes well, we should have the game ready for shipment between December 6th & December 20th (2016!).
That means, that there is even a slight chance that you could already be playing World-Control for X-Mas!

to coordinate shipping with you separately, so please be aware, that you will still have to pay for shipping in addition to your pledge.
We will of course look to find the best shipping-solution for you, but we can not yet tell you where we will be shipping from exactly, because of the nice fact, that our production-company has a plant in Germany & one in the US.

So depending on what side of the pond the demand is greater, we will produce either in the US or the EU (a wonderful extra competition).
If by some chance the demand for World-Control exceeds our expectations, we will of course produce on both continents.
