Emily is living alone for the first time in her life. Suffering from social anxiety she finds herself clinging to the walls of her new home, only to find that the walls cling back...
Her safe refuge becomes a nightmare.
The world is full of possibilities and dreams, but what happens when those dreams go wrong...?
*This comic is for readers ages 15 & up
The comic will be printed on 120gsm uncoated paper, giving the full colour pages a lush matte finish. It will roughly be about 18.1 x 26.4 cm/ 7x10 inches (slightly larger than A5) and will be 24 pages long.
The art has been hand-drawn and coloured traditionally, with small enhancements through photoshop.
*These are mockup images, colours may vary.
If you would like to back this project, below are examples of the rewards you could receive.
My name is Steph (also known as 'The Average Artist') and I am a comics artist. Amongst other things such as a youtuber, writer and illustrator!
This project has been one I've been hoping to create for a long time. As an avid lover of the macabre, I've had always distant plans on combining my interests of comics and horror.
This has been a passion project and as I have vlogged the journey on youtube I have found that people have been responding with the same kind of enthusiasm that I have been experiencing in creating the comic. Because of this I wanted to share a printed version of the comic with you all.
You can Watch the vlogs here.
Below are some examples of my previous works. Firstly my graphic novel 'Machination'.
...and my slice of life comic, which I drew once a day for a year, which is called 'The Average' (which is were I found my youtube name).
Thanks for taking the time to look over this project, and please share it around if you can't pledge.
Risks and challenges
There are other challenges, of course. Time restraints on completing this comic - though it is near completion there's still a few small things left to do. Which will need to be done by the time the money is sent out via kickstarter in September so I can send the files off for printing. As the comic is 90% complete I have no real doubts that I won't be able to handle this task.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
