What Happens Inside After You Press Brew
Our brewing mechanism and all the sensors under the hood make it possible to target and brew virtually any point on the Brewing Control Chart - producing a highly customized cup. The Brewing Control Chart is programmed into the Auroma One so it can adjust variables according to your taste preference!
Setting up is extremely easy
The same goes for cleaning
Even setting up a tasting flight

We are three friends looking for a way to make great coffee at home. We want to bring the care back into coffee making, starting with the weakest link — The Brewing. Along the way we got to meet/ work along side many amazing people. We truly couldn't have done it without you guys.
HAX Accelerator : Shenzhen, China
We were fortunate to be a part of HAX Accelerator, the world's most prolific hardware accelerator. We packed our bags and moved from Vancouver, Canada to Shenzhen, China. There we were able to quickly build, test and re-iterate the Auroma One.
Coffee Fest : Portland, USA
After so long, we were finally ready to bring the Auroma One to the world. Her first debut was at Coffee fest in one of the coffee capitals, Portland. There, we made meaningful connections with Roasters and many coffee enthusiasts. So much love in the coffee community.
T H A N K Y O U !
We would like thank HAX Accelerator, Office for Product Design, Oddds Studio and Blast Media. For helping us make this happen. Most importantly, we couldn't have done it without our mentors. Thanks, Duncan for being there for us even at 2AM and whooping us into shape since day one. Thanks, Ben for teaching us new ways to look at things. Thanks, Noel for your godly designs as well as being a huge supporter of ours, and Cyril, for making HAX happen!
Finally Thanks to you, our dear Backers for making this happen. Welcome to The Auroma Family. Let's make this happen together.

Risks and challenges
Fulfilling coffee machine projects seems to have been a huge problem on Kickstarter platform over the past few years. Throughout the process of development, we came to the conclusion that the highest risk could come from making too many assumptions on food-safe part availability and manufacturability. Therefore, we invested the time and resources in investigating and making sure that the parts used in our current prototype are food-safe and can be sourced from suppliers directly. Our engineers taste the coffee made with every part themselves throughout the prototyping process. Yup, we take it that seriously.
Manufacturing is a big challenge for any hardware project, and we realized we cannot do it by ourselves. To ensure the highest quality of manufacturing design, we joined HAX - the world's first hardware accelerator - to learn from and work with proven manufacturing engineers and mentors right in Shenzhen, China. The logistical risk is also reduced from relocating to China since shipping local is easier than international.
At this point, our number one concern is shipping the product as it is quite a complex and delicate system. More work will have to be put into the design to de-risk this. We have already arranged a meeting with one of the major shipping companies. Number two concern would be Chinese New Year. We have heard horror stories of people returning to family (and farmland), resulting in labor shortage that hardware entrepreneurs simply do not have control over.
Other than that, we believe we have done our due diligence with our utmost effort (and intelligence). If there is any problem that comes up, we will try to be as transparent as we can and solve it to the best of our (and our mentors') capabilities. If anything, you could rest in the fact that we are making this machine for our friends, our families, and ourselves.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
