Live Stream Next #PDXmusic Biz Panel on May 19
Help us share #PDXmusic knowledge with the world by live streaming the next Get Paid! panel on Licensing, Partnership + Sponsorship
MusicPortland, J-Fell Presents and Vortex Music Magazine are proud to present our third and final installment in the Get Paid! panel series, teaching working musicians how to make money in today's music business. This session will explore our panelists' experiences with music licensing as well as creative partnerships and sponsorship. Together with our partners at AudioGlobe, we hope to document and live stream the forum for those who can't make it to the event.
Producing the event and live stream isn’t without its costs, but we believe by crowdfunding those expenses we can provide a great DIY service to Portland's music community without the backing of large donors. Half of the money raised will go to renting the venue, the other half is to pay the media team responsible for organizing and running the event.
Supporting our crowdfunder will help us share information on what it takes to be a professional musician to a larger audience and paves the way for more live streaming events. The video above is from a previous panel—watch the full event live stream and others here.
AudioGlobe has big plans for the future and critical to that vision are the common goals we all share: inclusivity and access, building authentic connections, and promoting real creative expression from the ground up. By streaming these events, we're able to share Portland's music scene with the country and the world. We deeply appreciate everyone who has supported us in the past and we look forward to continue growing with you all into the future!

Risks and challenges
Vortex Music Magazine and J-Fell Presents have been producing free, all-ages educational panels for the Portland music community since 2016, and AudioGlobe has live streamed four of the most recent panels. We are confident in our ability to put on an engaging, interactive and informative event. To continue to do so in the future as well as document it, we need the support of our community.
If we do not meet our goal, the in person event on May 19 will still take place but it will not be live streamed.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
