About this project
What Audio Ergo Sum is a one-night festival where we invite musicians, filmmakers and multimedia artists to collaborate and transform an urban space into a playground of magical realism. The first festival, AES//ONE, is a collaboration between the innovative artists from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and visionary musicians spanning diverse genres including 8-bit godfather Nullsleep and conservatory-trained-pop-stars Cuddle Magic. The result is a unique evening of interactive music performance, video projection, light sculpture and public art that will take over Park Slope's Washington Park and the Old Stone House. Cool! When and where? I'm there. Friday, April 30th, 7-10pm. The Old Stone House/Washington Park, Park Slope, Brooklyn. 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th St. Take the R to Union St, or the F or G to 4th Avenue. So why the mula? A lot of really talented and generous artists are donating their time, energy and tremendous skills towards making the festival an incredible and unique experience. We'd like to keep the festival free and accessible to as many people as possible in the community, but we need money for materials that range from renting projectors to sculptural materials to crazy blinky things and stuff to make sounds with. All very fun, we promise. Please consider supporting us by getting a limited-edition 7-inch single at $10, or any of the other amazing rewards donated to us by the artists.
