Our hope is that we will make enough money to print a bunch of extra copies to give to kids in Middle and High Schools around the country as Aubrey goes out to speak to them about his struggles.
We don't want the kids to have to pay for these books.
In November, 2016, we were shocked to read the headline: Suicide Kills More Middle School Students than Car Crashes. Federal researchers announced that they had found that the suicide rate among U.S. middle school students doubled from 2007 to 2014, surpassing for the first time the incidence of youngsters aged 10 to 14 who died in car crashes.
We know you will agree with us that this is an unacceptable trend, and want to do what we can to start a conversation about anxiety and depression.
Thanks for helping make this possible. If we can save just one kid from taking his / her life as a result of this book, then all of this has been worth it.
