First, we want to thank everyone for supporting Dungeon Attack! and sending us questions and feedback on the game. Your contribution is helping us smooth out a few wrinkles in the rules explanation. This is something that should have been fixed but in our haste it was missed. We apologize.
Most of you have probably seen the Dungeon Attack! Game Summary that was made available for download on our website. If not, we recommend you have it available when first playing, either on paper or a mobile device.
This one page outline has been modified a couple of times and should now be clear of any confusion. The main issue has been the use of adventurer special abilities, the six different actions available when an adventurer is not facing Monster Dice, and using magic items.
Special Abilities on the Adventurer Card take effect before OR after rolling the monster dice. Some abilities may only be used if the Adventurer is not facing any monster dice, like when using a healing ability.
The six actions are only available if the Adventurer is not facing any monster dice.
Magic items may be used to reroll a die when rolling dice during your turn OR may be used to heal one HIT on any adventurer, including yourself, when not facing any monster dice. After using a magic item flip it over. An action must be taken to recharge a used magic item. Once it is recharged it can be used on your next turn.
We hope this helps. Please continue giving us feedback and contact us for any further clarifications.
